Will Taylor Lautner become Max Steel?
Max Steel first hit store shelves in 2001 and quickly became a $100 million franchise that spawned three seasons of a hugely popular animated series. The film would follow the adventures of Josh McGrath, a 19-year-old extreme sports athlete who becomes endowed with the powers of nano-technological machines. They take over his body, making him nearly invincible. And they allow him to change his appearance at will.
The film will come from Paramount Studios, who are eager to cast the young actor because he is guaranteed to bring in a female audience. J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani are currently writing the screenplay. Paramount is targeted a 2011 release date.
Max Steel was released in 2011.

Seriously, who is demanding this? I mean, the show was only decent at best, and any "hype" it had garnered died out soon after the games for Dreamcast, Playstation, and Gameboy Color were released. The story was stupid to begin with and this one is just going to be an even cornier version of "XXX". Then again, Paramount doesn't want a movie--they want a quick cash-in/vehicle for their lil' rising celeb--nothing more.

If I didn't care, I wouldn't disagree with who they'd pick for the role pof Max Steel (awesome action toy beyond time), but since it's an awesome toy and was an awesome series when I was younger, I have to say NO!!!!!!....to Taylor and yes to someone who can act and is more recognizable

see i totally agree with RavenX5 God of Light. This kid is just riding this twilight train. My girl is hardcore into the twilight movies and their ok but i dont wanna see this guy in a real action type movie. Hayden Christensen is yes type cast cause of his role in star wars but the kid has talent. Id rather seen Hayden Christensen in more movies than this guy.
