Tarsem Singh wants to direct live-action Samurai Jack
Here is what the director had to say.
"I love Samurai Jack. I would love to direct that. It's brilliant. The speed, it embraces where it comes from. I find that comic strip films are halfway grounded. They don't play my chord. But I love Samurai Jack. I love the animation."
A live-action Samurai Jack movie was set up at New Line Cinema in the early 2000s, with Brett Ratner attached at the helm. The rights has since reverted back to Cartoon Network.
Tarsem Singh's next project after the Snow White themed Mirror Mirror will actually be a talking head drama not unlike My Dinner with Andre. But its very well possible that we could see a Samurai Jack sometime after that.

@bawnian-dexeus Agreed. I love the show, but Ifind it hard to believe that Cartoon Network will do this justice considering that they apparently didn't find it worthy enough to air the fourth (and final) season. While I hope for something good, I'm not betting on it.

@ROFLitschristian - I know for a fact that they will ruin this. I remeber the comedy aspect of the show being actually pretty funny too. The action and visuals will probably end up being stunning but the comedy will most likely be gone.

@moviemaniac66 'm with you. Although I'm disagreeing with this for a different reason. This show was part action part comedy and 7/10 times those type of films don't work. This was animation at its best, however I'm not sure this will do Jack justice

As much as I LOVE Samurai Jack, I don't know about Tarsem directing it. He is great visually but he lacks a lot story wise. I hope he doesn't f*ck it up.
