Sylvester Stallone not directing The Expendables 2
The Expendables 2 script has been written by David Agosto and Ken Kaufman.
In the sequel, Bruce Willis will be getting a large role as the "super villain", while Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ryan Seacrest will also appear.
Production will begin later this year.
The Expendables 2 comes to theaters August 17th, 2012 and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Liam Hemsworth, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Jet Li. The film is directed by Simon West.

I don't care for Stallone's directing so I guess this is a plus. But, I'm not too pumped for this. I didn't really care for the first too much.

The last guy I want to see in The Expendables is Chuck Norris, mainly due to the horrible and embarrassing Walker Texas Ranger show. I thought Sly did a fine job with the first one and would have preferred that he stayed on as director for at least this sequel but this should be a fairly easy job for any decent director anyway, so no big deal really!

Still bothered with this Seacrest crap, he hasn't paid his dues whether he can fight or not. And as I said before Van damn has issues? just put Seagal in the third one with Chuck who's retired and a republican, money talks. And as far as Stallone is concerned they said he couldn't pull of Rocky, Rambo and Expand 1. Let him sit this out and enjoy the ride, HE paid he's dues.

yeah this isnt a problem. sly is a great director but he cant direct EVERY movie he stars in. looking forward to E2 and seeing van damme and lambert (and whoever else gets cast)

I don't really have a problem with this. As long as it is action packed as the first movie it is alright by me. And the cast for this movie is going to be far better than the first movie as well. Bruce Willis gets a bigger role, Schwarzenegger is coming back, Van Damme will be in it and so will Christopher Lambert.

Actually guys, Stallone already gave the reason he brought on Seacrest is because he said he met up with him and according to him, Seacrest is a very tough guy, like apparently his one of those guys works out a lot and who can really kick your a** in real life. And that's what Stallone is looking for with the people he has in the film, just like he had all those mixed martial arts fighters playing the soldiers in the first one.
