SyFy Delays Battlestar Galactica: The Plan Airing Once More

It seems that a highly-anticipated sci-fi TV movie won't be airing in 2009 after all. Air Lock Alpha is reporting that the two-hour TV film Battlestar Galactica: The Plan won't be airing in 2009 on the SyFy Channel.

It wasn't clear why the move was made, but a possible suggestion was that the movie was bumped in order to maximize DVD sales. Battlestar Galactica: The Plan is still set for a DVD and Blu-ray release on October 27.

SyFy also employed a similar strategy in releasing the Caprica pilot on DVD some 8 months before the series premiere, which is set for January 22, 2010.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on Battlestar Galactica: The Plan TV plans as soon as we have more information.

So, it's not really a TV film. It's a direct-to-DVD movie that will eventually be aired on TV.

What's the point in delaying it, I'll just buy it when it comes out so that way I get to see it and own it.
They seem stupid, well let's see we release it on DVD first then put it on TV. It's suppose to be the other way around, TV first then DVD. Morons.
