Movie PictureSony Pictures Home Entertainment rode a great DVD wave last week.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, the studio was all smiles as Surf's Up took the top spots on both Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine's video rental chart.

Paramount Home Entertainment's Evan Almighty was No. 2 in sales and came in No. 4 in rentals.

Also in sales, The Jungle Book and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer placed at No. 3 and No. 4.

Things were slightly different on the rental side with Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer coming in at No. 2, Reign Over Me at No. 3 and Evan Almighty at No. 4.

Closing up the contest on the hi-def side, Evan Almighty was tops for HD-DVD while Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer was No. 1 for Blu-ray Disc.
