Superman Wants Natalie Portman as Lois Lane?
Moviehole reports that a friend whom worked with Darren Aronofsky on Black Swan claims the filmmaker has been talking about taking on this project for quite a while. And that the talks mainly revolved around Aronofsky wanting his Black Swan lead to play Lois Lane.
Rumor has it that Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures originally wanted Natalie Portman to star in Superman Returns. If Darren Aronofsky is announced as the director in the next couple of days, it is speculated that Natalie Portman will definitely sign on soon after.
This is all rumor at the moment. No one has been signed to Superman at this point, though producer Christopher Nolan is pushing hard to make an official announcement within the next two weeks. Superman must go into production soon, as Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures stand to lose certain rights to the iconic DC Comics character in 2012.
Man of Steel comes to theaters June 14th, 2013 and stars Henry Cavill, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Nope, no villain yet.

Wonder woman Shwonder woman....jk...it is a very interesting idea.
ok back to the topic
The would say that this is going to be an interesting show.... the limits of this movie just makes it more interesting. Natalie would do great in this movie, hands down. That is if they cast her. Also, The Mime would like to know if they have mentioned something about a villain? they haven't announced it yet right?

The Narrator: The Better Man
@Dark_enV, I had a feeling they'd do something similar. Bummer.
@Dave... CBF is arguably the biggest comic book fan on the site, ergo his name. If he thinks this is a bad casting rumor, I am willing to think of a better actress. As I said, Natalie is a fantastic actress, beautiful as well, and would make for a great Lois Lane. But I really think Olivia Wilde would match better. However, I know quite a bit about comics as well, and I see no fault in her casting.. Gonna have to ask him 'bout that.
@Diaigma, think of it this way. If Portman does get the role (that would be pretty cool), Wilde could play Wonder Woman! *insert huge grin on face*

from what I understand they won't be showing the origin of Superman, they're reason being we all know what happened and stuff so my understanding is that they'll be picking up when Clark gets to Metropolis. I could be wrong but that's how I understood it. But anyway I like the idea of Natalie Portman playing Lois Lane, she's a great actress

I like Natalie too much, I always wondered why she wasn't Elizabeth Swan in POTC. she would have been a much better choice, but whats done is done.

Kinda looks like the Lois from Superman Doomsday. If she takes the role that ll be Thor and Superman

I think she's a step up from Bosworth, but they should keep looking. There's no reason to rush this casting choice, especially since the Boy Scout has yet to be cast.

You know... it is just funny to The Mime to see how such a small 4-word question can cause such a debate?... But all in all, Portman as lane is awesome...she would do a good "damsel-in-distress" girl. And the Mime is not just basing his choice on how well she'll cry out for help.. But I can just imagine a scene that she is in danger...... it's just cool. She can really bring out the full measure of Lois Lane's personality and that is one great aspects The Mime's looks at when choosing; a person that can really bring out the character.

Erica Durance's Lois Lane is the complete opposite of the Lane character. Natalie would be cool, I've grown to like her after seeing V For Vendetta.

Superman Returns should have been the reboot, but they went for a continuation instead.

Here's my problem. Some movies just reboot to soon. It bugs me to see something being thrown away so soon. If Superman Returns was bad this would be a different story. But it wasn't bad. It had a great cast, i don't think they should throw that away like that. I find it almost disrespectful. If it was bad like the first hulk I wouldn't have a problem.
