Super 8 Trailer
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
Super 8 was released June 10th, 2011 and stars Joel Courtney, Jessica Tuck, Joel McKinnon Miller, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, Riley Griffiths, Gabriel Basso, Kyle Chandler. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

@k-man Exactly. I loved that old school build up, building the tension and intrigue until it's almost unbearable, and then you let loose and go nuts in the 3rd act, like how Super 8 appears to be structured. Thank God they didn't show the monster in the trailer, people need to use their heads...

@rjh094 & @yveske - Uh, I'm not sure what you guys are upset about? Hell, why do you think Jaws was so great.....because we didn't even see the shark until over an hour into the movie.
That's the problem with movies do these days, especially thrillers......they dont leave it to the audience's imagination as to what is "lurking in the shadows" which, by the way, is always scarier than seeing the creature jump out and run after someone.
Everything has to be spelled out for audiences these days...
Now I'm not saying that they wont show the creature because I'm sure they will (and I look forward to seeing what it looks like)......but I say more power to them if they dont have some "big reveal" in the first act of the movie. I say make it mysterious and make the audience anticipate what's to come and whats actually out there.
Either way, I'm not worried. It's J.J. Abrams.....the guy's a genius. This movie will be fantastic! Cant wait!

@k-man Why? It's pretty common to get teasers in late November/December for the next years summer releases. I'm betting we'll get all 3 before January 2012.
Well you guys can have your doubts, but I await the Captain trailer. Just my person preference.
I'm sure the TF3 trailer will be good, but so was TF2's. Those are easy for Bay, since all they ever show off is the effects, which even I'll admit is his expertise.
We kinda already got the HP7P2 trailer, it was mixed in with the first part's, but I know what you mean, its own stand alone one. I'm awaiting that as well.

@daveactor7 - Agree with you on that! Joe Johnston sucks.
@dan1 - I think it would be fair to say that it's by far the best trailer *thus far* this year. Now there is no telling whether this will be the best trailer all year but there is a pretty good chance AND there is absolutely no way (and this is my opinion) that Captain America could ever come close to Super 8, even in trailers, because it directed by Joe Johnston, who's really done nothing all that great.
However, I do agree with you about Mission Impossible and War Horse, those are two films that are big on my list, which I am eagerly awaiting a trailer. Dont forget, we will be getting trailers for the Deathly Hallow's Part II and Transformers 3 very soon, both of which should be exciting trailers. Its hard for me to include Transformers in that list considering how bad TF2 was, but I have a feeling TF3 is going to be pretty awesome.
I seriously doubt we will be getting a trailer for Spiderman, TDKR or Avengers.....they are just too far off. But you never really know for sure.

@daveactor7 Still gotta disagree. You guys are jumping to conclusions. I'm not trying to be stubborn here, but we've yet to see the full length Captain America trailer, let alone War Horse, which is a Spielberg movie as well, or Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol.
Don't get me wrong, this was very, VERY good, and it may end up being the best, as you say, but let's wait and see before we say 'best of the year'. The year still has 9 months left in it. We also might get a Spidey teaser, TDKR teaser, Avengers teaser, etc.
