Director J.J. Abrams has debut a new TV spot for his highly secretive sci-fi thriller Super 8. This all-new footage premiered today during Super Bowl XLV, and now you can re-watch it again or see it for the first time in the exciting clip below.

Super 8 was released June 10th, 2011 and stars Joel Courtney, Jessica Tuck, Joel McKinnon Miller, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, Riley Griffiths, Gabriel Basso, Kyle Chandler. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

    @K-man agreed friend, this will be awesome. I have faith in Abrams. Having directed (what I thought the best of the trilogy) Mission impossible 3 and the awesome reboot of Star Trek, this is a must see for me. Midnight screening :D

    Man, this looks so freakin great! What a good teaser/T.V. Spot to have in the superbowl, its mysterious and action packed with a very "early Spielberg" feel to it, which is exactly what J.J. Abrams was going for!

    @GokuSSJ4 I agree with you on that regard, it does look a little unoriginal that Spielberg puts a boy on a bike and some alien in the movie.

    That doesn't change the fact that this trailer looked interesting. =)

    i loved this spot, but i'm confused. it has ET-ish music but some of that footage is kinda dark. there are explosions and evil military (well, i guess thats not too "dark") and one shot in which someone is dragged away by an unseen force. its looks like ET meets predator. lol

    Why is everyone surprised by the tone/score of the film? Abrams said this was his direct homage to Spielbergs earlier works. I'm just surprised he pulled it off so well in the teaser. F*cking powerful, man. Looks intense and mesmerizing. Can't wait.
