Sucker Punch was released March 25th, 2011 and stars Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Carla Gugino, Oscar Isaac, Jon Hamm. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

    This looks cool. I just hope it has more substance than 300. Watchmen was fantastic, but I guess that's because Alan Moore is a thousand times a better writer than Frank Miller. It will be interesting to see how Snyder handles an original idea, though the look is very 300.

    I have to agree with Fallen about bad movies making money. Transformers 2, considered by most to be a bad movie, collected over 350 million in America alone. Hopefully, the studio can make good use of the money.

    Anyways, @Dave, its hard for films to be a part of history when hundreds are released every year, all wanting to make money by any means necessary. I would be perfectly fine if only one movie came out every weekend. But thats not the case. Look at it this way. All the terrible crap movies are still good for a few reasons:

    1. They give people jobs.
    2. They make the studios money, which in turn creates a few GOOD films with said cash.
    3. After watching all those bad flicks, we always appreciate the really good ones. :)

    @The Fallen I agree with u completely, but I'm just pissed about how movies nowadays are. More action and less connection with the audience. Action is not everything. A movie is a big part of history, and right now movies these days are f*cking that up.
