Variety has reported that Marvel Studios and Thor director Kenneth Branagh has set Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson, and Tadanobu Asano to play a trio of Asgardian adventurers who fight alongside the Norse god, called The Warriors Three. Variety has since removed the article, leading to speculation about whether this information was to be kept under wraps.

If they are on board, they would join a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore, Samuel L. Jackson and Stellan Skarsgard.

Production is set to start in January for a May 20, 2011 release.

Thor was released May 6th, 2011 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgård, Kat Dennings, Clark Gregg, Idris Elba. The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh.
