Steven Spielberg Is Setting Up Gods and Kings
The project is described as a Braveheart-ish version of the Moses story. This film will be far from a reboot of Cecil B. DeMille 1956 epic, but the stories will most likely be similar. The script is being written by Stuart Hazeldine and Michael Green while Dan Lin and Matti Lesham are producing.
The director is currently finishing up his Lincoln biopic with Robopocalypse next on his list. The original 1956 epic was titled The Ten Commandments which was one of the most profitable films of its era, grossing $65 million in 1956.
Let's see were Steven Spielberg will take this one.
Gods and Kings comes to theaters in 2014. The film is directed by Steven Spielberg.

This sounds like an odd choice for Spielberg, but a great one, nonetheless.

This guy doesn't want to take a breath lately, does he?
Anyone else think that all of his recent projects are perhaps a final push before retirement? Like maybe 10 more years left in him?

But seriously. I've been waiting for a more contemporary representation of the Ten Commandments. Love the title too.
