Steven Spielberg Eyes Chris Hemsworth for Lead in Robopocalypse
The film will be based on a novel by Daniel H. Wilson. The book is set in the near future where a computer scientist programs an intelligence computer called Archos. The computer, which was designed to preserve life, becomes self aware and starts systematically destroy the human race after realizing we are the planets biggest threat. The story follows a group of survivor's who struggle to stay alive in the aftermath.
The actor most recently played Thor in Marvel's The Avengers and starred alongside Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman. There is no official offer on the table yet for the Aussie star.
Robopocalypse is in development and stars Chris Hemsworth, Anne Hathaway, Ben Whishaw. The film is directed by Steven Spielberg.
