Steven Seagal wanted for The Expendables 3
Steven Seagal has confirmed that Sylvester Stallone wants him to be a part of this third chapter in the hard-hitting action franchise, which continues with The Expendables 2 this August.
Here is what Steven Seagal had to say about potentially coming aboard as the latest member of Barney Ross' team.
"He [Sylvester Stallone] plans to do another one and I have already been made an offer. We'll see..."
There has been a long-standing feud between The Expendables 2 cast member Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal. If Seagal does join the next installment, and the villainous Van Damme survives the first sequel, we might just get to see these grievances aired out on screen in what could be one of the greatest fight sequences ever commited to film.
If that's the case, we now know why Sly has waited so long to bring Steven Seagal onto his team. You need a reason for the audience to come back a third time, and a kicking match between these two action icons is more than enough reason to buy a ticket.
The Expendables 3 is in development and stars Nicolas Cage, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham. The film is directed by Patrick Hughes.
