Sony is developing a Steve Jobs biopic
The book, entitled Steven Jobs, is written by Walter Isaacson, the former CEO of CNN and managing editor of Time Magazine. Mark Gordon will produce the adaptation, although it doesn't seem that Sony has a writer attached to adapt the book.
Simon & Schuster will publish the book later this month, which was written based on two years worth of interviews with Steve Jobs. Aside from being Apple's co-founder, Steve Jobs also served as the CEO of Pixar Animation Studios and was a part owner of Walt Disney Studios.

@dan1: in sarcastic Cleveland Brown's R2-D2 voice: Oh yeah yeah.
@Georgia-DiPirro: Wow, THAT was inspiring in and of itself. You gotta frequent this online community then. It gets fun, heated, harmonious, and dysfunctional.

Thank you @dan1 @slysnide @cory @bawnian-dexeus for helping and helping me feel at home. @dan1 ... I like what you wrote "Movieweb has one of the most vibrant communities I've ever been apart of with my online experiences. We can act like a dysfunctional family"
I find fascinating in reading some of the reviews from many of you on here, awhile looking back the older reviews you wrote and then reading what most of you are writing now. All of you are impressive! It's fabulous to see your own style, unique flair, feel the passion, and it just gets better and better as you go! Very inspiring! I enjoy the personal touches, the facts into the movie, and the technical details. Every part of this industry has fascinated me since I was 5. And all of you keep that passion going, Thank you for taking your talents, using them and sharing them - it takes courage to show the world your talent.

Already???? Come on give the Jobs family time to grieve before you shove a film deal in thier face... Biopics should not even be in talks before the funeral has happened... If anything its an insult to the family for hollywood to be thinking of money when a great man has died....

@Georgia-DiPirro See, why can't other people see it in that light? :P
Seriously though, Movieweb has one of the most vibrant communities I've ever been apart of with my online experiences. We can act like a dysfunctional family at times, but it makes it all worth it when we derail article discussions into something completely unrelated, think up games to play in the forum section (some of which are like institutions now, like the Hangman one. I see @shuabert playing that all the time), and of course the reviews. Reviews are really the heart of the site (imo), and it's interesting to glean different people's personalities through their writing. I tend to be intensely personal in some of mine, where others such as @slysnide go nuts with the technical details.

With talent of powerful people like Mark Gordon to produce, I wonder if ICM will do the packaging on the project. Gordon has been getting everything he pitches picked up. He's the golden child right now! Thank you @slysnide you are Right! --I should visit the site more frequently. These are very interesting conversations -It's addicting. I might have to join a 12 step program!

@bawnian-dexeus: Yeah, they can sell the trademark for big bucks, or have a co-producing credit and share in the grosses as regardless of how bad the film could be, or how much in poor taste it is, it will still make money. Or at least has major potential to as it was a historical moment in history, well, sorta.

Bawnian©-Dexeus
@slysnide Well Trademark to be more precise but I guess it's the same thing. They simply will make money off the name in all merchandise and whatever else they will come up with
