Stephen King's Cell Now a TV Miniseries
According to Fangorai, director John Harrison, who adapted Clive Barker's Book of Blood, is currently writing a four hour telefilm based on the contents of the novel. The story finds America being transformed into a population of mindless, rampaging killers after a signal is sent through a series of cell phone networks. The project is currently being shopped to various channels.
At this time, Harrison is not set to direct Cell, but has stated that he would love to jump aboard the project if the opportunity arose.
Cell was released December 1st, 2008.
Book of Blood was released September 22nd, 2009 and stars Jonas Armstrong, Sophie Ward, Clive Russell, Paul Blair, Romana Abercromby, Simon Bamford, James Watson, Doug Bradley. The film is directed by John Harrison.

This has grabbed my attention, I'm a large Stephen King fan and this sounds right up my alley, sweet, need to read the book first though.
