It was revealed recently that Seth Rogen had been hired to write, and possibly star in a new theatrical version of The Green Hornet. Now, word comes from the LA Times that Rogen wants Stephen Chow as his Kato.

Rogen pitched his idea to Sony Studios, who liked his comedic take on the property. They are hoping he can turn the film into a franchise and reinvent the recently dark and moody superhero adaptations that are so popular in Hollywood.

Though Rogen is actively seeking Chow for his project, the Asian action star has not responded at this time. It is not known if his schedule is open at this time.

The Green Hornet was released January 14th, 2011 and stars Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz, Tom Wilkinson, Christoph Waltz, David Harbour, Edward James Olmos, Jamie Harris. The film is directed by Michel Gondry.
