The animated adventures of George Lucas' world will continue on the Cartoon Network. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been picked up for a second season on the Cartoon Network.

The series has been a ratings juggernaut for the network, with its October 3 debut scoring the highest ratings for a series premiere in network history. The first season will conclude on March 20.

Production on the new season will begin this fall.
