Star Trek to Be Re-Released in Imax Theaters
The film opened on May 8 and took in $256.7 million domestically.
Star Trek initially only ran in Imax Theaters for two weeks. It was bumped for 20th Century Fox's Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. Usually, a film gets a 4 week stint in Imax theaters.
This new Imax run will last two weeks and it will not play full schedules when Star Trek opens there.
Star Trek was released May 8th, 2009 and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, Eric Bana, Bruce Greenwood, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

It's not as clear, because the Bluray is an HDMI conection and the cable is just an RCA conection. But I'm not too concerned about the clarity of TV. I'm a movie person, first and foremost.

It will make more money, but I will just be happy when they release it on Bluray. My wife and I have a 7.1 Sony system and a pull down movie screen that's nine feet diagonally, so it will be just as good at our house. Ours is Imax JR.
