Will people complain about both films being rushed?

Zachary Quinto went onto say that he has no aspirations to be in Star Wars: Episode VII, giving no reason for why. He did, however, express his desire to appear in an episode of The Big Bang Theory.
What do you think? Is J.J. Abrams going to direct Star Trek 3 and Star Wars: Episode VII at the same time? If he does, is this a good thing for either franchise?
