Though some Star Trek fans (Trekees) told The Mime that the first one didn't cut it. I find it quite awesome.

2012, I can wait. If they have a good story and plot to it, JJ can take his time to do it right.

Too bad there was never a Voyager film or a TNG/VOY crossover film. Picard and Janeway teaming up to take on the Borg one last time, or the Cardassians or something would have made a good movie. I know First Contact was the Borg movie, but...still.

hopefully the sequel will be better.
they have all the right parts, good actors, fx and abrams is not a bad director, but it just didn't win me over.

I wonder who would play Picard if TNG was rebooted.

I really enjoyed the first film, can't wait for the second. I'll buy the rest of the old series, a true fan has an open mind.

CBF how can Anton Yelchin's Russian accent sound fake, he's Russian. I thought he did a good job as did the whole cast. A great reimagining of the whole series.

    I was definitely...impressed with....Chris Pine as.......Captain. LOL

Anyways the entire cast did well except Anton Yelchin who played an awesome Kyle Reese in Terminator 4 had a fake Russian accent here that sounded fake every time he spoke, which ruined his character. I really liked Zoe Saldana who played Uhura but what was up with her and Spock having an affair? Not sure why a sequel would be made, because the timeline of Star Trek films, well, this "alternate timeline" makes no sense. Okay, one movie just for like a tribute to the old Star Trek series, but really? More movies in this timeline? I really wanted a Voyager movie after Nemesis! Dammit. I'll still see it, the VFX went where no man has gone before...

I for one, was really satisfied. two years is fine with me. Besides, most of us, you know... the majority that dont make or star in movies dont realize that their are schedules of actors, budget costs, the hiring, writing of script, plus abrams' own schedule, where he is a hot commodity and may have other projects as well as productions in the next two years. so considering all that i think the longer the better, dont want to squeeze a turd out of this lemon, and suffer the fate the last franchise did after awhile. i say take your time abrams' just take your time.

Why are people complaining about the wait? Do you not realize how long it takes to shoot and edit a film of this size?

J Abrams directed it it was way better and worth seeing
