Morbius in Spider-man 4?
The long-rumored villain, touted by Marvel CEO Avi Arad, has long been The Lizard, but it seems now even more plausible that Raimi is definitely going to be attaching Morbius to the storyline. Check out CHUD for video of the director's coy response to the overall vampire question.
A little history on the character...
Morbius was created in large part because Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Stan Lee wanted to launch an indirect challenge on the Comics Code Authority's ban on vampires. Working with writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane, they created Morbius, a living man who is given vampiric abilities via scientific means, and not the supernatural ones prohibited by the Code. Kane was instructed to specifically avoid Gothic fashion elements and design a costume for Morbius that was akin to what any other Marvel supervillain would wear, and he specifically chose the red and blue primary colors which were the staple of characters like Spider-Man and Superman. In part because of the success of Morbius, the Comic Code was liberalized on the subject of vampires and other horror characters several months later, allowing Marvel and other publishers to use vampires such as Count Dracula.
Spider-man 4 is in development .

I copied/pasted the following info from another site:
In an interview concerning The Taking of Pelham 123, producer Todd Black, who is also involved in the production of Spider-Man 4, told The New York Post that Kirsten Dunst was "definitely on board" for the fourth Spidey film. While Dunst is returning, Black shot down rumors that the film would contain a Spider-Man/Mary Jane wedding. Black also torpedoed speculation that Morbius the Living Vampire would be the featured villain in Spider-Man 4. Black told the Post that the "heavy" will be "a big part of New York City" where the film will be shot, leading to speculation by the Post that the Kingpin could be Spidey's would-be nemesis this time around.

The only way I could see this happening is if the only 2 villains for the fourth installment are Morbius and the Lizard. Morbius wasn't born a vampire. He was scientifically made into one, which brings in why the professor should be the other villain. The last time we saw him he was left with some of the symbiot (sorry if this is spelled wrong). Which, if I remember correctly, is used to restore his arm and eventually changes him into the Lizard. In the fourth movie after Spidey stops the Lizard and helps the professor become normal again he can help Spider-man come up with the syrum for Morbius to change back into human form.
But it doesn't (and Morbius breaks out like Sandman did at the end of part 3), leaving the possibility for a spin-off movie about Morbius. Then Raimi will be able to take that spin-off and make that movie a horror one.
Just wishful thinking.

"Note: his power enhancements through his transformation by the Queen and after battling Morlun - including his organic web glands and stingers - have been undone after Spider-Man's deal with Mephisto."
-- Which is the reason that the book is being boycotted on SO MANY LEVELS by die-hard fans and subS-C-R-I-P-Tions of over 20+ years were all-of-a-sudden canceled by longtime readers, including me. Joe Quesada would rather throw continuity out the window than acknowledge it.

i do prefer the lizard than the vampire,so they can have beast battle--- like spiderman with super mutation with four hands facing man eating lizardman and freakin kraven or kragen the hunter , whatever is his name hunting them both, that would be cool ---

Well i noticed a formulam for DC's films as well, just like the way Marvel is doing the avengers film.
With each ending leading to the conclusion of the creation of The Avengers.
I'm in the state of creating a 'World's Finest' to start off a JL like sequence in that sense of the way they are creating the lead up to The Avengers film.
The end of my World's Finest will create the Justice League, since World's Finest consists of either a team-up or a verseus between Batman & Superman.
I have the actual official Hollywood for World's Finest, which i'm kind of using as a tentpole, but setting mine in a Nolanesque universe but mine is possibly after TDK or in an alternative time from Nolan's Batman universe.
send me a message on my page if your;d like to read World's Finest

if Hawkeye isn;t in the first Avengers i guarantee he'll be in the second, and i second that notion, both Hawkeye and Sentry would be cool movies. Sentry gets no love, but he has so many possibilities and a cool back story.
the only problem i see with a possible Hawkeye is he really has no villains, does he?

The Narrator: The Better Man
It actually does although I don't care much for Ghost Rider. However I want to see a "Sentry" movie like NOW! Lol. Most likely never thou. Either him or a Hawkeye. I mean, by the time we see the Avengers movie we'll only have Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and maybe Nick Fury and Black Widow. I say at least Hawkeye be in there.

I have always thought that Topher would have been better as Peter Parker than that of Toby. He's livelier and a bit more happy in nature than Toby.
Morbius is just wrong for this film, they need to have another villain in it.
After the last Blade film, I have seen the TV series and I found it was quite good. I've always felt that, Wesley Snips did a great job but I would love to see a Blade film where Wesley isn't in it.
Sure he was great but we need to see another actor take the job and use his skills to become the vampire hunter that we like so much.
Once Wesley Snips is out of prison, he'll be too old to play the part.

i seriously wish marvel had the rights to all its characters again, cuz a midnight sons movie sounds awesome, but the rights to Blade and Ghost Rider rn't owned by Marvel. although there hasn't been a blade movie in a while so that may have opened up idk.

Morbius started of as a Spidey villain, all that being is first issue 101.
He then on and off occassionally fought Spidey, before being given his own spin-off series entitled
'Morbius: The Living Vampire'
after its 22 - 24 run issue, he was brought into be a member of Midnight Sons (I want a movie to this, not Morbius in Spidey), in which was a supernatural team of supernatural powers that consisted of Morbius, Werewolf By Night, Blade and on certain occasions Ghost Rider, with the odd appearance of Dr Strange.

lmao, Spidey Aids is making fun of you BD for you mentioning that SAM RAIMI wanted Topher because he looks and is around the same size as Tobey? SPIDEY AIDS ARE YOU RETARDED? I'll let you answer accordingly.
Btw BD, you don't need to explain yourself, you were as clear as day, but honestly, in my humble opinion lol, some people on here are f*cking idiots dude, and you can't do jack sh*t about it unfortunately. I know, I've had to fight them too, and I'm sorry lol.

seriously do u read my posts, i never once said that Topher Grace should have played Venom, or that he has the right body type for the character, in fact wut i said was:
"oh yeah and Raimi said that his idea for Grace was that he would be more like the Ultimate version of Eddie Brock, while at the same time sort of mirror peter in that he too ends up with great power but was never taught that lesson bout responsibility. Topher matches Maguire in size and look, making him better suited to mirror wut Peter could have been, Dwayne Johnson would ruin that."
there now it is one here twice. hopefully this time u'll get it, but since u don't seem to let me elaborate. if i cast Jim Carey to play Cletus Cassidy, then tried using an explosion to the face to explain y Triple H was playing Cletus Cassidy in the next movie, wouldn't make sense and is a bad idea for any franchise. it a bad idea period to replace actors normally, especially with an actor who contrasts the original actor so much, as Dwayne Johnson does to Topher Grace. It worked it worked with the first Batmans cuz they got actors who were reasonably similar, they didn't replace Michael Keaton with Sean Connery, that wouldn't work.
and one second let me see here, oh there it is "I'M STILL PISSED AT THE FACT THAT HE SHOOT'S WEBS OUT OF HIS WRIST. HE'S NOT WOLVERINE, PLUS IT TAKES AWAY FROM HOW INTELLIGENT HE WAS BY CREATING WEB SLINGERS" WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Wolverine can shoot webs from his wrists? and "GO TO MARVEL UNIVERSE AND LOOK UP THE HERO AND VILLIAN OF YOUR CHOICE." if i looked up any hero or villain it probably wouldn't say the same thing as Venom's page, calling me a "dummy azz." think ur thoughts through before u type them, it stops u from looking like a dummy azz.

Real Name
Peter Benjamin Parker
Height
5'10"
Weight
165 lbs.
Eyes
Hazel
Hair
Brown
Powers
Peter can cling to most surfaces, has superhuman strength (able to lift 10 tons optimally) and is roughly 15 times more agile than a regular human. The combination of his acrobatic leaps and web-slinging enables him to travel rapidly from place to place. His spider-sense provides an early warning detection system linked with his superhuman kinesthetics, enabling him the ability to evade most any injury, provided he doesn't cognitively override the autonomic reflexes.
Note: his power enhancements through his transformation by the Queen and after battling Morlun - including his organic web glands and stingers - have been undone after Spider-Man's deal with Mephisto.
Abilities
Peter is an accomplished scientist, inventor and photographer.
Paraphernalia
Spider-Man designed and constructed several devices that he traditionally carries as part of his full costume. This includes twin artificial web-shooters worn at the wrists, spare web cartridges attached to his belt, spider-tracer devices attuned to his spider-sense, the spider-signal light, and a compact camera. He has reconstructed his web shooters out of a high density plastic to avoid metal detectors, and has added modifications to detect low web-fluid levels, and propel spider-tracers.

Powers
Previously, the alien costume, which had grafted itself to the nervous system of Eddie Brock, somehow absorbed the powers of Spider-Man during its brief symbiotic relationship with him. These powers were transferred to Brock, so long as he wore the costume. At his peak, Brock had conditioned himself to lift (press) almost 700 lbs before he came into contact with the costume. Now, in his cancer-ridden body, he possesses minimal strength. Once he merged with the costume, in his prime he was able to lift (press) almost 11 tons. The alien costume also replicated Spider-Man's ability to cling to walls by controlling the flux of inter-atomic attraction between molecular boundary layers

LEO, THAT'S ALL I'M SAYING TOO. I GUESS THE BD IS A CHEERLEADER. LOOK, I'M JUST INTERESTED IN MAKING MY FAVORITE SUPER HERO OF ALL TIME LOOK LIKE A SUPER HERO. I DON'T NEED ANOTHER F*CK UP LIKE THEY JUST DID THINKING THAT THIS WOULD BE BETTER. I'M STILL PISSED AT THE FACT THAT HE SHOOT'S WEBS OUT OF HIS WRIST. HE'S NOT WOLVERINE, PLUS IT TAKES AWAY FROM HOW INTELLIGENT HE WAS BY CREATING WEB SLINGERS, TRACERS AND SUCH. HOW HE GOT OUT OF A JAM BECAUSE HE RAN OUT OF WEBBING, AND NOT USE THE JEDI MIND TRICK ( ALA DOC. OCK). I DON'T NEED TO SEE MY HERO HOLD HANDS WITH THE VILLIAN, CRYING SINGING KOOM-BY-YAA BECAUSE THE VILLIAN HAD BAD LUCK AND THOUGHT HE SHOULD TURN BAD. PETER WORKS 2 JOBS, GO TO COLLEGE AND MANTAINS AN A AVERAGE, AND HELP TAKE CARE OF HIS OLD AUNT. THAT'S WHAT I LIKE ABOUT PETER, HE HAS PROBLEMS AND STILL DOES RIGHT.
NOW AS FOR THE PUNISHER, YOU STILL NEED SOMETHING OTHER THAN JUST BAD GUYS. IT'S NOT TO MUCH. FOR 1 MOVIE, MAYBE BUT THAT'S MY POINT. SOME OF THESE COMIC HEROES CAN GO FOR MORE THAN 3 MOVIES BECAUSE THE STORYLINES ARE COMPELLING. IF STAR TREK CAN DO DAMN NEAR 10 MOVIES ALONG WITH FRIDAY THE 13TH, YOU DAMN SURE CAN GET 10 EASILY WITH SPIDEY AND GETTING CAMEOS WITH OTHER HEROES WITH THE TORCH, PUNISHER, DAREDEVIL, HEROES THAT SUCK IF THEY DID A MOVIE BY THEMSELVES, YOU CAN PUT MORE VILLIANS AND GET MORE ACTION. BUT THE KEY IS STOP TRYING TO FIT IT ALL IN 1 MOVIE. I BELIEVE IN CLIFFHANGERS. NOT TO MENTION THERE ARE NOT TO MANY GOOD MOVIE OUT ANYWAY. AND YOU WANT ME TO PAY $10? NOT FOR CRAP LIKE SPIDERMAN #3. STAR TREK WAS ENTERTAINING TO ME. NOT GREAT, BUT ENTERTAINING ENOUGH TO SEE AGAIN IN MOVIES. THAT'S A MOVIE. YOU WILL WATCH AGAIN ON TNT.

As far as I see it, Morbius WAS a spider-man villain, so if he was in it, it would make sense in that respect.
BUT!!!
The lineup so far in the movies has not given hint to a horror type villain like a vampire. If they went through with this, it would be like putting a storm trooper from Star Wars in The Hobbit. The worlds will have conflict, and it would make no sense, solely because of what the first three movies have lined up so far. Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, Venom, Sandman... These are all Sci-Fi characters... and then they're going to swing over to horror in one movie? That won't work. Now I have read the comics, and I DO know that Morbius is scientifically created, but there's still that underlying theme of THE VAMPIRE, which is a horror, magical, fantasy type of character.
So my final opinion is, they can do Morbius, but NOT YET. The stage is not ready for him yet. Besides, they need to get off their asses and take care of the other Spider-Man villains that Raimi has already introduced in the movies. Like The Lizard, Manwolf, Black Cat... Come on, Raimi, have you just forgotten about them? Or are you ignoring them? Save Morbius for a later movie, and get off your butt and finish up the villains you have already introduced! We've been waiting forever now, so how much longer do you plan on making us wait, huh?
