Spider-Man Gets Stan Lee Cameo

Stan Lee reveals he has a cameo in the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot
The Untitled Spider-Man Reboot is currently shooting in the Los Angeles area, and it just wouldn't be a Marvel movie if there wasn't a cameo from Stan Lee. The Spider-Man creator confirmed he will have a cameo appearance in the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot and you can read the early details below:

My pal Avi Arad, producer of the new Spider-Man, called to tell me how excited he is about the film. Then came the surprise-- Avi told me my cameo is all set for Spidey 4, and when he described it, I realized it's the best, most unusual one yet!"

While he wouldn't say any specific details on his role, it seems we'll get to see Stan Lee in an action scene this time around:

I wish I could tell you what my cameo is, but that would kill the surprise. But I'll tell you this much-I'm finally in an action scene!"

The Amazing Spider-Man comes to theaters July 3rd, 2012 and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Denis Leary, Chris Zylka, Irrfan Khan, C. Thomas Howell. The film is directed by Marc Webb.

there was never any doubt in my mind that he would appear in the film. In Spiderman 2 he was technically in an action scene when he saves a woman from falling debris.

@fanboy I don't think it would matter where the actor is from, if he can do the job better still.

When ppl go see this all this is doing is confirming to the the studios that we will go pay for anything and shows them they don't have to put 100% in their films to begin with. Let this franchise sit for several years then pick it back up.

Agree with Zany about the awesomeness that is Stan Lee.

To everyone bitching about this reboot: Get over it. It's happening, and there's no reason for you to complain about something that isn't changing. Enjoy the ride, or shut up.

I 100% agree with @messenger. No need too reboot something becouse a director chose to allow the movie studio to push what they wanted in Spiderman 3. It was said, Rami has a 6 movie franchise Idea. 3 was to conclude the Osbourne connection. Harry was to inject Parker to couse a mutation action, which in the comics was the human spider. And four would be Doc Conners healing him with the gene therapy that he was working on for regrowth of humam limbs, in Vultor not liking Conners, who is a scientist also, would mean Vulture with a ending setting up for Lizard in 5. Then that would do the set up for a Venom film for 6. Rami said he was mapping out 6 couse thats the length of films he thought he could do with what he was building on. More could be done like Carnage or some other spin off Spiderman story like a Rhino or Scorpion film. But these was what he said would work from his planned idea. The studio wanted to make fans happy with Venom in 3. But Venom addition meant the hole story would have to be put on the back burner in favor of having so much action. Sam thought he could use action to make the story go forward, but knew alot would be missed and might not be worth it. In the end, was the studio making the dessision, and in the end, killed what he was planning, had set up, and couse to much unrest with the studio. They though he mess up, while he admitted he did. By agreeing to do the movie the way they wanted. Ironicly, he said a reboot is a great idea. But didnt think now was the time. He knew what his 3 ended on, you couldnt just pick up and make 4 and so with him not being involved. So he said, in a political way, I hope nothing but success with the new Spiderman film. I loved working on them, and was a great experience for me. That was off the Rolling Stones web site, but then took down 3 days later... So was it due to the studio not likeing the dirt being revealed or Rami wanting to advoid bad blood to work for the studio again, I dont know..
