Dianna Agron, Mia Wasikowska, Georgina Haig, and Dominique McElligott are all still being considered, as reported on Friday.
The Amazing Spider-Man comes to theaters July 3rd, 2012 and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Denis Leary, Chris Zylka, Irrfan Khan, C. Thomas Howell. The film is directed by Marc Webb.

Yes, Emma Stone, she co-stars in The House Bunny with Anna Faris. Her first film was Superbad.

Alright thanks. I'll look for the sequel.

My vote is for hush. As far as other BM villians go, they should just have a room full of cameos (like that one BM animated episode) at the beginning and BM busts them up :P

Recent, yes(last ten years). Excellent? Even more so.

@CBF, Batman:Gotham Knights contains the bridge between Hush and Heart of Hush. Look for issues 50-55, and 66. These are bundled together in trades, as well.

@ejk1 Right, right, I get ya. Whereas me, I'm only envisioning 3 films.
Anyway isn't Hush a really recent villain?

CBF, I see no reason to kill Gwen off in the first movie, but then again I am envisioning a six or seven movie saga, not a trilogy.
As for Hush not being known well enough, I think that argument is BS. I'm just not going to believe that seeing Riddler on the screen doing the same type of thing Joker did, with a little more riddle and a lot less violence, is the best thing for the series. And, even though this may rankle some of the guys here, as far as the connection between the cartoons and the old TV show to this movie series, screw that. Nolan owes it to himself and the audience to make the best movie possible. Since many went to Batman Begins without knowing who Ra's Al Ghul was, but that didn't make a difference. Plus, I think many want a villain for the Superman movie to be someone other than Lex Luthor(or at least someone in conjunction with him), which will lessen the familiarity for many. My point is that this movie could be, and should be, the finale of one of the greatest trilogies ever, and even if Hush isn't as well known as lesser threats like the Riddler or Penguin, that doesn't mean he shouldn't be used. If they use Hush, it shows that they are risking profit, which means that the story will have to be incredible to make up for lack of character knowledge(although if Nolan announces who the villain is soon, and it turns out to be someone like Hush, then people interested can do what TheRealavatah did, and look the character up. They would have more than a year to learn about the character.)

@Diaigma: Oh, it is, D. It is.
@Narrator: Yeah I am not getting my hopes up. I just like the lady casting choices. However if they do exactly that with the film, I'd still watch it. Also I will have to do some research on the Hush sequel.

I cant agree more with Hush but i really have a hard time believing it will happen becuase Hush is a lesser known villian. I cant even remeber Hush beind in any of the cartoons but i could be wrong. But what i am trying to say is that the villians that keep getting the re-do are the villians from the old tv series with the exception of Al'ghul and scarecrow (but that was an obvioius chouice for origin story). I want Hush as bad as the next batman fan but its not likely...yet.
@REAL agreed nice work. Your thumbs must have been swolen.

And yeah, Heart of Hush, which I read is good, but I am not familiar with the title Hush Returns. Hmmm..

The Narrator: The Better Man
@CBF.. you already know you won't like it. Well, in my opinion, a successful comic book film is one that adapts its course material fluently, without getting anything jumbled. It keeps the same basic theme of the source material, and although based off of certain story arcs/what-not, it is not afraid to spread it's wings and take a leap of faith with the audience (who usually know little of the mythos the film surrounds), such as The Dark Knight. Overall it should do the fans justice, the creators justice, the mythos justice, and the movie goers (unfamiliar) justice.
If the reboot does that, I will not mind if it strays here and there from the comics. You never know.

Hush definitely would be good. However, isn't Hush Returns the sequel? I bought Hush this year and loved it, and I have heard the title Heart of Hush be thrown around but I thought the direct sequel was Hush Returns? (which I haven't had the chance to read)

The Narrator: The Better Man
@ejk, again, so glad you brought Hush up. I have constantly been saying (as you know) that Hush is great for Nolan's world, and hurts Bruce physically/psychologically more than anyone, save The Joker.
@REAL, good job!

@ejk1 I disagree as far as the audience not caring about Gwen enough in one movie for her to die at the end. And as far as being similar, that's why I mentioned an animated film, to get the canonical story right. I understand that this reboot will not follow canon, which is why I'm keeping distance from it. I already know I won't like it, but I'm just wondering what they will do with the Gwen character and more than anything how Emma Stone will portray Mary Jane, since she's always been my casting choice even before all this.
@REAL Justice League. Without a doubt. The things Supes can do..? Did you see what he did to the Doomsday clone army in Apocalypse??

Ok, not related to article, but which team would prevail over the other? Avengers or Justice League? Personally, I think Batman with his resourcefulness, and Superman with his God-like strength would be formidable already as it is.
Although Iron Man is pretty smart and resourceful as well, and Captain America is no chump either. I think it would be a fun battle to watch, or make for a great fighting video game.

Too early for Gwen to die. She needs to be loved by the audience so her death will have tremendous impact. Let her live until the second movie at least, like Rachel Dawes did in TDK. Also, I know you want it strictly canon, CBF, but I think a different way for her to die is in order. Or at least a different location. Remember that most people in the theater have not read the comics, but will remember the movie. These people will believe that the new movies are ripping off the old ones(no matter what they are told), and it could harm sequels.

I think what I'm wanting will be too similar to Raimi's Spider-Man 1. The Death of Gwen Stacy, which would call for Green Goblin and the ending bridge scene...just a change of what actually happens there. And that's too similar. Marvel should have made an Animated Feature on the Death of Gwen Stacy. It's never been told in any medium outside of the comics and it's the biggest turning point in his life after the death of his Uncle Ben.
