Good job with the web-shooters, but they took WAYYY too much inspiration from the 2099 costume... and messed up on it.

Thanks @Daveactor and @Narrator. That pic makes the suit look way better, and that being said for the stunt suit. I have faith in this suit and movie. And as advice to those who are being negative about the film and suit, primarily the suit, Just imagine these details on the stunt suit, on the final version of the suit. It'll make you feel way better.

Nice pic @Redskull. Still an onlooker photo, but it doesn't look bad, and thats saying a lot for a stunt-man suit before post-pro work is done.

@ridgl, the suit in the Raimi series didn't look like it was handmade either... dee da dee.

@Cartman i'm not saying that this is gonna be a bad movie, i'm actully excited about it, I know what is involved with making a film, i've studied it, all i'm saying is i just am alittle bit worried on how the whole thing is gonna turn out, i wish all the best for this movie and hope that it's a succesful spidey flick.

In the pictures, Spidey looks like a life-size blow doll that accidentally floated from a fans imprisonment and floating about the streets of where is this...NYC?...yeah...

@Sly well this article is only about how the costume looks but another argument is welcome :) I agree. Number one also messed up the story.

Is it just me, or are you guys putting way too much thought into the costume's appearance rather than the story? Which is where #1 & #3 really messed up.

This is Awesome! I appreciate that Marc Webb is taking a rational approach to this film and story. The suit reminds me of the 'Ultimate Spiderman' storyline. In the previous three films we witness a Peter Parker who on his second attempt, creates the "perfect" spidey suit. This suit in these pics seems to be a "prototype" for Peter Parker. I think this will be a more realistic interpretation of Spidey.

  25. The Narrator: The Better Man

    @Kinetic, to answer you questions:
@Cartman claims he works on the set, and for some reason I believe him and the fact that this may very well be the final product now. However, it is still just a stunt suit, which has less detail than the final product, and as @cartman pointed out, some *sshole with a camera phone took this pic, which makes it look weaker than some might expect. I'll get into that after I answer your second question.

I am well aware of the differences between GL and Spidey. However, as I posted twice before, the Raimi films put a lot of post-production focus on making the suit look legit, because it looked just as/or nearly as crappy as the above pictures when not rendered, etc. So we really have no right to judge the film without authentic release from the studio.

@Zdarth... higher standards... from a camera phone rough shot? Yeahhh.. Some of US, use our common sense before judging. I'm not saying this film will be good, but I have seen close to nothing on it yet, and what I have seen has either been exceptional, or illegitimate (referring to the above pictures and some of the ignorant comments below). No one in support of this film here is persecuting anyone. We're simply saying that to judge based off of amateur hour photos of a stunt man suit is borderline stupidity.

Not liking anything i have laid my great eyeballs on as of yet. Do not persecute me for this belief but yet let it be know that some of us hold higher standards for this superior superhero.

@Kinetic well since Uncle Ben is in this film, it will be an origins film. Its a reboot.

    Ok:
1 - i did read all the comments...
2 - i was asking a question based on those comments
3 - how do we know that this:
A - Is an origin film?
B - know that this costume isn't what he's gonna be wearing the whole time?
4 - Green Lantern is purposefully a CGI costume, Spider-Man's is not.

@GreatStorys - cant take it man how can you say the movie will suck?,...... any meat when cooked and garnished transforms to a mouthwatering delicacy, its the raw meat that transformers - why dont you eat it raw? its the same meat anyways? you wait till your mom cooks it or a chef cooks in a restaurant right? same way hang in der, wait for the movie to release (watch it in a cinema hall, dont download a crappy torrent cam print - then say you hate it with a valid reason like acting is bad, story is bad, or even i dont like the look of spidy etc etc then it makes sense),.
