@comicbookfan Same Here. I love the Ben Reilly Spidey Suit. I think that's the reason I liked the Alex Ross movie suit design for the Raimi series. That drew alot of influnce the Ben Reilly Suit. And yes. The scarlet spider suit is less than iconic.

@jptheredskull Right, right. The Ben Reilly costume was actually my fav Spidey costume. (Not the Scarlet Spider one, though lol.) Which one was yours?

@comicbookfan Ok. I can understand the comparison to the 2099 suit now. And as for my comparison to the Ben Reilly suit, I meant mainly in how the gloves and boots are designed as well as the extended spider.

@jptheredskull I understand your point, and I hear you brother, but I am just mentioning that you are missing my point. I'm not saying that it looks like the 2099 costume. I know what that costume looks like. I'm saying it took elements of it. How they mixed and weaved together the red and blue, the "bumps" in the fabric, the dark nature of the eyes, these types of things.

My original statement was that it's a "cross" of all 3 costumes. It's not exactly an "exact" replica of the classic Amazing costume, is it? As I just read, you said something about the Ben Reilly costume. Which is another costume in which I cannot see any resemblance to or that they took elements of. But, it's all good. It's just my opinion.

@comicbookfan That's my point. You keep comparing the suit too the 2099 and it looks nothing like it. Actually, The classic Spidey suit and The Ultimate Spidey suit, which is all but identical to the original, looks nothing like the 2099. Please go google an image of the 2099 suit.

@jptheredskull Not really because I called it pretty much what it is. Now, you say it is inspired by the "classic suit" - which I also said. Amazing. But it's not the Amazing costume like in Raimi's trilogy. It has a twist to it. That twist is a combo of Ultimate and 2099.

@comicbookfan I read it carefully and you called the reboot suit what it wasn't.

@comicbookfan THE SUIT ISN'T INSPIRED BY THE 2099 SUIT! IT'S CLEARLY INSPIRED BY THE CLASSIC SPIDEY SUIT, THE WITH GREAT POWER WRESTLING SUIT ABD THE BEN REILLY SUIT YO DOLT. no offense.

Too bad the long-awaited web-shooters have to be on some ugly-ass suit that Sony fumbled up on a cross between Amazing, Ultimate, and 2099.

I'm always amused by the way people start judging a final movie based on a few set pictures.
Not that seeing a black-crotched Spider-Man in awkward homo erotic poses with another guy isn't hilarious, I'm just saying that it's too early to start bashing this movie.

Scouse-man sounds like a spook from Columbia Pictures.
Like the name by the way. Should we expect a new superhero film - "The Delusional Adventures of Scouse-Man"

if you idiots look at the 1st picture that's how it'll look, you won't get close enough to see the detailed lines, just get a grip cos this film will literally piss on the last 3!!! :P

  18. The Narrator: The Better Man

@Kinetic, they didn't take anything down. People were simply calling the Spidey wrapping legs around bad guy pic XXX like. Really, it's nothing major, or weird. Parker did similar stunts in Raimis trilogy, but no ones complaining there. Lol.As for the suit tear, beats me man. Lol. Things happen I guess.

  19. Kinetic

Why did the Suit tear? it's supposed to be a Stunt-Suit, aren't they made to be more durable?

I'm not gonna continue the Costume-Hate, it's pointless, i'm unfortunately resigned to the fact that this is what we're getting. I'll just ask questions and make a remark based on the new pictures...
Also, did they take some of the "XXX" pictures down that you are all refering too, i didn't see anything, not that i was looking, but nothing was as obvious as some of you all made it sound regarding the appearance of body parts...

Ok, how many different eyes are there for this suit?
    Black, White, Yellow, None...
I wonder if Yellow and Black are indicative of On-Screen Spider-Sense...

    God that looks creepy.

He's climbing in your window, snatching your people up, trying to rape 'em, so you need to hide your kids, hide your wife and hide your husband because Spidey's raping everybody out here.

  27. The Narrator: The Better Man

    Haha. Thats.... cool?

Lol, but seriously, nothing big here. Haters will complain about the most idiotic things, I'm tired of trying to reason with them. I like the suit still, so I'm game.

    1. Again, being shot with Red Cameras, which are great for digital, but require proper lighting to look legit, which is why the suit may look overally bright, or off.

    2. The color red bleeds on screen, especially with digital (from my experiences). So again, more blue was added to the cotume to both make it easier to shoot with, and make it as different as can be from the previous series' suit.

    3. The crotch is darker, becasue in post-pro they can edit out whatever junk needs to be removed. The different coloring shade may just serve as a marker for the fx team, as I use things similar to edit out unwanted items in my projects. Nothing to go all queasy about.

    4. I love how NO ONE is noticing his EYES! They're awesome looking!

    This costume looks just awfull.

  29. Everton

I will be surprised if the suit will look that bad in the movie, lets face it spider-man moves fast and more than likely won't be out in bright light to allow everyone to see the costume in as much detail as in the pictures.

I'd like to think the costume will change by the next movie maybe even the end of this one!?

I'm looking forward to some Spidey n Gwen Stacey action, get ye moggy out Emma ;)
