Spider-Man reboot seeking a young Peter Parker and the son of The Lizard
Director Marc Webb is seeking males between the ages of 4 and 6 to play the younger version of Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker. They are looking for "dark-haired Caucasian boys" to audition for the role. Casting is also underway for Billy Connors, the son of Rhys Ifans' Dr. Curt Connors character, who will fall between the ages of 8 and 11. A resemblance to either actor can't hurt either.
It isn't clear how these younger characters will fit into the story as of yet. We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot as soon as we have more information.
The Amazing Spider-Man comes to theaters July 3rd, 2012 and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Denis Leary, Chris Zylka, Irrfan Khan, C. Thomas Howell. The film is directed by Marc Webb.

@Narrator, look for the arc of The Gaunlet called "Shed." It is a redefining of The Lizard, for better or worse.

Connors had a son. Lizard ate him in the comics. Happened about two months ago.

Connors does have a son in the comics, people. As for a young Parker, we'll have to see how it plays out.

Think guys. The young Parker is probably going to be involved in a flashback on the day of his parents death, and his reaction to the news, etc. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is wrong with that. As for Connors son, I am pretty sure he has a kid in the comics and a wife. Makes sense. Hold the negative speculation for now folks.

I somewhat agree with JA Ottley on this. It seems like Webb is going to be adding his own spin on the Spider-Man mythology, and that's what got Raimi and Singer in trouble with their versions of Spider-Man and Superman. I'm not saying it won't work, but they need to be careful.

Sorry, i know this reboot is based upon the Ultimate version of Spiderman.......But the whole idea of this sounds like fail on a new degree.......Superman Return may no longer hold the title any longer....
