Spider-man 2, The Bourne Supremacy and Dodgeball lead the DVD charts

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Bourne Supremacy, starring Matt Damon, sold through to consumers about 2.5 million combined DVD and VHS units during its first day on retail shelves Tuesday, according to industry sources. That figure, which largely reflects DVD sales, doesn't set any records, but it does bode well for future holiday sales for the film that grossed nearly $180 million at the domestic boxoffice.

Perhaps more surprising is Day 1 sales for Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, which sold about 2.1 million combined DVD and VHS units Tuesday, its first day on retail shelves, according to executives at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. Meanwhile, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Spider-Man 2 led home video sales last week, capturing the No. 1 slot on both Nielsen VideoScan's First Alert DVD and VHS sales weekly charts.
