Sony Pictures to Buy Defendor

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group is set to buy all worldwide rights to Woody Harrelson's Defendor.

The sale was made at the Toronto International Film Festival. The only territory that is not part of the deal is Canada. The film is being released there by Alliance.

Defendor is directed by Peter Stebbings. It stars Harrelson as a man who thinks that he is a superhero. Due to this delusion, he sets out on a series of wild adventures to protect his city which is drowning in crime. Also starring in the film are Kat Dennings and Sandra Oh.

Defendor was released February 26th, 2010 and stars Woody Harrelson, Kat Dennings, Elias Koteas, Sandra Oh, Charlotte Sullivan, Michael Kelly, Lisa Ray, Kristin Booth. The film is directed by Peter Stebbings.
