
Green Lantern gets turned on by Sony.
According to Variety, vfx supervisors on the project are Karen Goulekas (The Day After Tomorrow) and Kent Houston (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus). Jim Berney (I Am Legend) will be vfx supervisor for Imageworks.
The project reunites Houston with director Martin Campbell; the pair worked together on Edge of Darkness.
Green Lantern is slated for release June 17, 2011.
Green Lantern was released June 17th, 2011 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Temuera Morrison, Jenna Craig, Jon Tenney, Mike Doyle. The film is directed by Martin Campbell.

Image works are not the best in the game, but they are good having won awards for their work. My concern are the handlers; On their own Houston, Berney & Goulekas haven't impressed me.
Hopefully these 3 TOGETHER can give us something special together.

Well I was hoping for Weta or even ILM but these guys sound okay... as disappointing as the fx was in TDTESS. Its just that this movie needs to have believable heavy hitting fx so I hope they pull it off.
