Sons of Anarchy star Johnny Lewis passes away at age 28
Johnny Lewis, best known for playing Kip "Half-Sack" Epps on Sons of Anarchy died Wednesday after either falling or jumping from the roof of a Los Angeles home, where an 81-year-old woman was found dead inside.

Local authorities believe the actor killed the woman, identified as Catherine Davis. It is believed that he rented a room out of her house. Johnny Lewis was seen fighting with neighbors after his alleged altercation with Davis. He was then spotted climbing onto the roof of the house, and was later found dead in the driveway. There are unconfirmed reports that he was using "smiles," a new synthetic drug, at the time of his death.

Johnny Lewis played Half-Sack in the first two seasons of Sons of Anarchy before being killed off in the Season 2 finale. He was asked to be let out of his contract due to creative differences. Series creator Kurt Sutter released a statement regarding the actor's passing earlier today.

"It was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way. I wish i could say that I was shocked by the events last night, but I was not. I am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path. Yes, it's day or mourning, but it's also a day of awareness and gratitude. Sadly, some of us carry the message by dying."

The actor also starred in films such as The Runaways with Kristen Stewart, and Lovely Molly.

    @basquat I am with you 100%
    I hate as soon as someone gets murdered, especially when they are a star of some kind, they want to blame "mental issues." Yeah he had mental issues, all murders do... they are douches...

    @basquat Chili is the character he played on The O.C. I'm not asking people to forgive him, I'm just pointing out that mental illnesses exist and painting the guy as a devil just because he was suffering from one is pushing it.

    @yannick-decorte Then who the f*ck is Chili and why are mentioning him? As for the guys. Stop making excuses for him. That's just pathetic. And if carma is a bitch you're gonna run into somebody with a mental health issue. YOu can forgive that person from the great beyond.

    Note how the article fails to mention that Davis was murdered, and that Lewis is the prime suspect. And that he started brawling with the neighbors when he jumped their fence as they both attested. These were the first and only version of the events released by the police to the press, yet this article makes it sound like he walked into some accident.

    Agreed with Joker @mcleve02 RIP Davis, screw Lewis.

    @basquat Chili didn't kill a woman, Johnny Lewis did. As for the woman, the cat, Johnny Lewis etc., my opinion is it's tragic, but I'm not saying Lewis should burn in hell. The guy had serious mental health issues, but he wasn't the devil. It's sad to me that a guy who was very well-liked and talented ended up ruining himself and taking others with it, but he was still well-liked besides his mental health issues. I wish he had gotten the help he needed. I'm not gonna say he rot in hell because I think that even if he killed an old woman and a cat, there were also strong elements that were out of his control. The landlady herself liked him, that's why he came back to her for a place to live. Very very tragic but f*ck the people that say he should rot in hell.
