Smallville renewed for a 10th season!
The CW Network has announced that its hit series Smallville will return in the fall of 2010 for a momentous tenth season.

Smallville, a modern retelling of the Superman legend, stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent. The series moved to Friday nights this season, where it currently ranks as network television's #1 show in its time period among men 18-34 and men 18-49. Additionally, "Smallville" has dramatically improved The CW's ratings performance in its Friday 8:00-9:00p.m.time period by 67% among adults 18-34 (1.5/6), 200% in men 18-34 (1.8/7), 75% in adults 18-49 (1.4/5), 183% in men 18-49 (1.7/6) and 74% in total viewers (3.12million).

Smallville joins the five previously announced series - The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, Supernatural and America's Next Top Model - which will all return for another season on The CW.

Smallville was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (Shanghai Noon, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor), based on the DC Comics characters. Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson serve as executive producers, along with James Marshall, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola. The series is produced by Tollin/Robbins Productions, Millar/Gough Ink and Warner Bros. Television. SUPERMAN was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

hell man your telling me i have only missed one episode ever since the show was on do to my cable being cut off, i got all the box sets and everything, every year right before the next season starts. 1 week before it does i watch the season before to get amp up, this show rocks, and i hope it goes another 10 but that is wishful thinking. top 2 shows me me is Smallville being number 1 off course and then Supernatural. I just hope they move it back to Thursday nights for the next season i love watching these shows back to back.

sh*t man me too, i honestly thought if they were gonna do another batman film because they butchered Batman and Robin and kinda wanted to leave it in the dust they would just jump forward. I wanted them to but i have to say im really glad they didnt because Nolan's take on the story and character just blew me away, their was no bullsh*t, no what ifs, and thats not possible kinda stuff, i just love how he brought the realism to these films and characters. Man i wish Heath was still alive he could play the Joker for 20 roles and it would never get tirering it would just keep getting better and better and growing and growing. Sh*t im obsessed with the joker my myspace profile is nothing but Heath Ledger's joker. I started collecting all sorts of stuff after he blew me away with that role. I told everyone to he was gonna beat Jack's joker our of the water and alot of people told me i was crazy and go f*ck myself or made excuses. i got the last laugh on that one.

sh*t man you didnt have a childhood without waking up on the weekend to X-men when i started watching batman the animated series it was on monday through friday at 4:30 the only part that sucked about X-men was i had to get up early sunday to catch it. And Batman Beyond in my opinion was just a kick ass cartoon i thought if they were gonna do another Batman film that would be it and Micheal Keaten playing the older Bruce Wayne.

I love Batman! I have ever since I was a kid. Arkham Asylum was awesome! I loved it! And I can't wait for part too. And as I understand it part too will be loosely based on No Man's Land. In the preview you see the Iceberg Lounge and a poster of Two-Face. I would also like to see Clayface and Mr. Freeze in the second game! My favorite part of the first game was stalking the henchman, atop the gargoyles. This second game set in Gotham City is gonna rock!

Like I said up above I've always been a Batman Fan every since I was a kid. And I wasn't really into Superman until I began watching Smallville. I've actually been a fan of this site since about 2007. I used to check for movie spoliers and details on movies.com but while looking for details on a movie I don't even remember which one I stumbled upon Movieweb. And I too loved the old format of the website soooooo much better, the site was easier to navigate then. I only recently became a member to discuss the Airbender Trailer that came out on February 10th. But I'm a diehard Batman and X-Men fan. I remember watching both those animated tv shows as a kid on Fox.

@Dex62387 It is my fault, I am usually not arrogant nor egotistic, it's just the fact that this site has chased off most of the regular users who were here for years. Most of the new users have no idea who we are who have stuck around and not left, due to the site's new layout and non-HTML profiles. In talking with some of the main users who have left, they have noted the fact that a lot of new users, not people like you by any means, have constantly debated every post they make, as if they don't know much about what they are saying, when they have been here for years, proved their respectability, and these new users just showed up in the past 3 months, a lot of which have no stats on their profiles except some comments. What I'm saying is it all boils down to a reputation issue. I apologize if I seemed arrogant before in my posts. Didn't mean to be so rash, and usually I do not act in such a manner. If you get to know me, I would say that I am a comical character myself. Indeed I do have extensive comic book knowledge. OK, now THAT sounded egocentric!

I have played a little of Arkham Asylum at my sister's house (I know, my sister, right? But it was her newly wed husband who is younger than me who likes PS3 games and rented it from online rentals) and I have to say it is pretty bad-@$$. Serious House on Serious Earth is a seriously crazy classic book (lol), and I can recommend other graphic novels to you. The characters/universes whose histories I'm most familiar with are Superman, Supergirl, Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, Ghost Rider, Buffy, and Star Wars. Of course, since you are looking for all comics in general, as I understood from your last post, and not pertaining to say, Batman, in specific, I would direct you to take a look at my comic book/graphic novel list in my Profile under my About Me section. I have a huge list, in chronological order, of each character I mentioned and then some. I can tell you what any of them are about in detail, or if you are looking for a specific character in specific I can recommend some. PS My comics in my comics list are available for file-sharing, as they are in the digital format. So I can give those issues to you, no problem. This goes for anyone interested in comics. Just let me know what you want to read.

I didn't like you at first. Your arrogance annoyed me. But after reading this last post of yours I was reminded of a friend of mine. He is an effeminate male who is extremely arrogant and thinks he knows everything. But he is one of the most funniest people I know. I laughed after I read your post about bowing before Zod referring to yourself as Zod. That was clever and I liked that. But it was your last two statements that I really began to laugh. It was about wanting to know anymore about comics just to ask you cause you'll know. Whether you meant it to be funny or not, I thought it was funny. And in that arrogant sense of humor is how you remind me of my friend. I like you. You're a quite the character!

I really enjoyed Mark Hamill's voice acting as the Joker. Have you played the Batman: Arkham Asylum video game! Hamill was great in that game. The game is loosely based off the graphic novel Serious House on Serious Earth where Joker takes over Arkham. (But I'm sure you already knew that. Lol.) That was a good graphic novel. Do you know of any other real good graphic novels? l've only read a few. Serious House on Serious Earth was the first Graphic Novel I've read. I've also read Watchman and Joker by Brian Azzarello. I've been looking for The Long Halloween but I haven't been lucky enough to find. I also heard that Lex Luthor: Man of Steel was real good too, but just like The Long Halloween I can't seem to find it anywhere. But any good graphic novels you know of would be great! Thanks for the help.

@ejk1 good point. And I appreciate you bowing before Zod.

On the Joker origin, as far as I know, that Red Hood/chemical vat origin was only told in Batman: The Killing Joke. A classic comic book, nonetheless, and one that Tim Burton took inspiration from for his version of Jack Nicholson's Joker (hence the reason Jack Napier falls into a chemical vat in the 1989 Batman). In the comics, The Joker himself does not even remember his origins. In The Killing Joke, he confirms this by saying that sometimes he remembers it one way, other times a different way. His real name also has never been confirmed as Jack Napier. When the Nolans created the version of The Joker for TDK, they took elements from The Man Who Laughs as reference, the first appearance of Joker Post-Crisis. In that appearance, he appears out of nowhere already as the Clown Prince of Crime, with no origin having been told. He poisons Gotham's water supply similar to how it was done by Scarecrow in Batman Begins. Sure, the most known origin is from The Killing Joke with the chemical vat and him falling into it, bleaching his skin as opposed to wearing make-up which cover his supposed scars. Also in that story, pre-Joker, he was known as a mob thug, the Red Hood, who worked for the mob when his wife was kidnapped and his comedy act was going nowhere. This led to him falling into the vat, as Batman tried to save him. But so far, there have been other books in continuity that either confirm this origin or tell a different one completely. I'd say that they got it more right in The Dark Knight rather than in the 1989 Batman, because they went off the fact that Joker tells a different origin to different people, hinting that he just simply tells stories that contradict and we are left still not really knowing his origin. This is more true to the comics than using The Killing Joke origin, as used in the 1989 Batman.

So there you have it. The Joker is one of the top most known comic book villains of all time.
IMO I liked the versions by Heath Ledger in TDK and Mark Hamill in Batman TAS, which stick to the comics. Let me know if there's anything else you want to know about the comics. Usually I will know it.

CBF, as far as comics go, I bow to the master, you, on that front. But I don't think you understood me. As far as I know, every origin of Joker ends up with him in a vat of chemicals. Am I wrong about that? If I am, tell me so I know. But if I'm not wrong, then TDK did take a liberty(albeit a small one) with his story. He wears make-up on his face, but his body is still flesh colored.

No ejk1, BB and TDK BOTH followed the comic storylines. Not sure what comics you are referring to, since it sounds like all those are from a long time ago. In current continuity, Ra's al Ghul WAS Bruce's mentor and led the League of Shadows, which is where Bruce trained during his time around the world. Henri Ducard was a frenchman in the comics who trained Bruce in Paris, but still. "Batman: Year One." Do I have to quote the issue numbers too? Ra's al Ghul also showed up again right after that in "Batman: Year One - Ra's al Ghul," where Batman defeated him. In TDK, what you are talking about Joker's origin, that happened in The Killing Joke, yes which I know is still in continuity, but so is the fact that Joker tells everybody something different about his origin. He makes up stuff, tells stories that contradict. And that was in the film, telling stories about his origin. Also the film follows the comic almost too a tee with "The Long Halloween" which fits in Batman's current timeline, about Year Two following Year One and the spin-off Year One issues. These are ALL in Batman's current chronological continuity. Do I have to quote ALL of these issue numbers? Because I will, although I'm not really out to prove myself.

So, no, I am not being a hypocrite. And if you read any of my reviews for those two movies you would already know this. You are not going to school me on comics, dude. I am the MASTER of Comics on MovieWeb. None of what you said falls true. And it is why I dislike Smallville, and why I like the Begins films, yes. Comic continuity. However I respect you for not agreeing with me, I mean everyone is entitled to their own likes and dislikes, sure.

Dex62387 i know that site i belong to it but i choose not to read the spoilers i like the excitement of not knowing to far ahead of whats gonna happen well except for the fact of another season off course and who is coming but when it comes to the episode details i stay away. Yeah i knew about Martha and Perry and Metallo i just click on the news and rumors and nothing else, so in a way i know i kinda sound like a hypocrite but i don't wanna know more than that really. i think the guys from the caves was SAGEETH if i remember right. I do miss that kinda angle and really enjoyed the episode where it showed Jor El visiting earth like a walk a bout and Clark kinda walking in his fathers shoes. I think the clone idea i had would work out perfectly because if you remember right the clones that he did do of Julian had memories in him that were programed so i say Lex escape the fortress and programed the clone to that pointt. This way when the clone wakes up not knowing its a clone but remember the fortress falling on him that would explain why he was all messed up and hooked up to those tubes and machines. See i love that. You saw it the exact same way i did. I just saw him in a castle like the one his father brought over brick by brick and rebuilt in smallville and him just sitting their with this chess board with the scotch in his hands and around him it would kinda be like that room he once had for Clark hid in the mansion with the wreck car and all the pictures and everything else but in the same room kinda like his evil game/war room and we see things from past episode and photo's of the blur and the S symbol burned into walls and everywhere else, you got a couple of Oliver's arrows kinda studying his opponents choice in weapons and like the Mannequin Oliver shot when he thought it was Lex. Satellite pictures of the kandorians markings on the ground when they got released. All that stuff i think that would be so bad ass like the episode ends and right before it does you see this room like a 360 circular shot and of all this stuff in it and right at the window you see the back of this man on a phone and you here him say something like" Everything is going as planned" the you see him end the call put the phone down and turn around and boom its Lex's and you get that evil f*cking grin smile of his and the episode ends their. I know if they did that i would be screaming at the T.V. no no oh my god. lol. And dude i was doing the same thing i was like clapping above my head saying stuff like Oh my god that f*cking nuts, man this is gonna be good. I cant wait for the next episode.

ejk1 I also enjoyed the relationship that Lex and Clark had the chemisty of those two on screen was undenyable i think if season 10 will be the last" God That Will Suck" but if it has to be i have no doubt Micheal Rosenbaum will come back to not only end the show and the character right but for the fans. You know damn well the CW and fans are gonna really be on him about it now. God i just hope that someone at the CW are reading these. I would just love to see it played out how i imagined it i think it would be insane i cant really see it done another way.

Red K is making a return this season! It will be in Episode 18 called Upgrade on April 16th. I'm real excited about that. I got my info from a real cool site call Kryptonsite.com. This website has spoilers on the future episodes of this Season with the title of each episode. The dude running the site gets tips and he hasn't been wrong yet. I first discovered the website during Season Seven. It's a pretty awesome site! Also this season were gonna see the return of Martha Kent, Perry White and Metallo! You should check the site out.

I enjoyed the caves too! And Naman and the bad dude that's attached to him I can't remember his name. At first it was hinted to be Lex. But in Season Eight they shed new light on it and it may represent Doomsday as well. I also liked the caves because Jor-El was once there in the caves and it's kinda a connection between him and Clark. Yeah I think they should do more with the caves too.

I really like your Lex/clone idea. Cause it would shed more light on just how much more manipulative and evil Lex really is! He could also use his absence to his advantage! Because besides Clark everyone thinks he's dead and gone! Him resurfacing would throw everyone for a loop! I liked the imagery you used with Lex and a giant chess game. I could easily see in my minds eye Lex sitting rather comfortably with a glass of scotch in his hand and sitting in front of him is this huge pristine chess board. And instead of the usual chess pieces we have little miniatures of Clark, Chloe, Oliver, Tess, Lois, Martha, Perry and others on this chessboard. And on the sideline we have those he's taken out of the game......Lionel, Lana, Julian, Milton Fine, Jonathan, Pete and others. And then there is one final chess piece on the opposite side of the board. And this little chess piecse is in the likeness of Lex himself.

And dude when Zod flew at the end of last episode I was almost dumbfounded. I was teetering on whether he regained the abilities or not. I was thinking he was just gonna jet off. Like he's there one second and now he's not and we'd see like a black linear blur across the sky. But when he just fell off the ledge and was free falling for a moment and then jetted off! Man it was freakin' nutz! I just jumped up! I can't wait for it to return from it's hiatus.

    ejk1
I loved the chemistry that Lex and Clark had as friends and then even more so as enemies! You could just feel the animosity between 'em! Rosenbaum's Lex was awesome and one of my favorite characts even more so than Clark sometimes. I would love to see Michael return to the show! He just added so much to it! And it's not the same without him. I like Tess but I like Lex more. What I really liked about Tess was that bathroom scene between her and Zod and she was is the tub! Meow! Lol.

Remy, I think the Lex clone is the way they'll handle things. The Luthor's have always relied on scientific means to achieve goals- Adam, Julian, etc. They aren't magicians, so it's a safe bet science plays a huge role in Lex's "resurrection."

CBF: I was thinking of some of the things you wrote, and I gotta tell you that I don't agree. You don't like it because it doesn't follow the comic, which is fine. However, I have a question for you: Do you like the last two Batman movies? There are things in BB and TDK that reimagine the Batman story. For example, in BB his teacher was Ras Al-Ghul, who didn't show up in the comic book until it was over thirty years old. As for TDK, the Joker was a psychopath that wore make-up, not a man who fell in a vat of chemicals, forever changing his skin, hair, etc. These changes did not disturb the flow of the story, but they didn't follow the comic faithfully, either. My point is that if you're railing against Smallville for not being faithful, but you celebrate BB and TDK even though it has the same flaw, you're being somewhat hypocritical.

I also never got tired of Kristen i mean come on the girl is smoking hot, i too just got tired of the high school love grip thing, so her character, but i think the way they ended her in the show with the finale episode was great, honest i thought when she kissed him he was just gonna drop like a rock but to see the kryptonite poison spread like that on his face was so awesome, their are some things i do miss like watching his under the red K and having fun and doing whatever he wants, i would like to see the caves in the story somewhere again, who is to say all angles were covered on that, might be something else on the walls or something they just didnt understand then but maybe now, that would kinda bring the show back a few seasons and be kinda cool, all and all i absolutly love this show i remember the last episode, clark walking off the roof back into the daily planet and Zod walking towards the roof and im saying " what the f*ck" and he jump off and as soon as he took flight i was sitting their saying " oh f*ck no" see i had a feeling clark's blood would have gave Zod his powers but i didnt want to think to much of it cause with this show, you can think something is gonna happen and then hit you with something else, but yeah if they do bring in Apokolips i would love to see the whole JLA and the JL all team up with clark and have a massive show down, and still even though this younger Zod doesn't have the knowledge off the older Zod doesn't mean if the older Zod if he got out of the phantom zone couldn't just take over his younger body, could be cool. For Lex i think what happened was he cloned himself and the one's we have seen and the one's getting killed are the clones and just don't know it. Kinda like the original is just sitting back playing a giant chess game like he always did. If Micheal comes back that would be a good way to explain why the Lex we have been seeing lately looks so different. Cause we never saw what happen to him after the fortress came down. It was up in their air from their.

That's pretty funny about the glasses. I'll keep it in mind. Also, the Nicodemus episode is exactly what I was thinking about when writing my earlier post. It's the first episode of Smallville I ever watched. I was trying to be loyal to a show called "Roswell," but I stopped caring about it because it became idiotic. I saw a commercial with a girl stripping on a diving board, and decided to check it out. The striptease was awesome, but so was everything else. The whole plot was well done, and the friendship between Clark and Lex gave the show a depth that surprised me. Needless to say, I've been a fan ever since.

So I'm guessing CBF stands for Comic Book Fan. I'm glad you know so much about Kal-El's real mythology. So you don't like Smallville. So what. My points were valid. But as far as the Kandorians and the Justice League I have no control over that being apart of the show than I could have control over the moon and stars. It's fits into "their" storyline. If you decide to do your own tv show about the true Superman mythology I'll watch it. But until then....

Ohh and what are you trying to say here: "For two, Lex Luthor is dead but Clark is still in Smallville?" Yes I know that and so do other fans of Smallville. And this statement too: "Based in "our time" wearing a Matrix outfit?" What other time do you expect? The roaring 20's? It's just our culture right now with that kinda look. I'm not really a fan of that look either. It's so typical of an amateur hero wannabe, so maybe is that the point to be typical, maybe even human. I don't know. I'm sure if it was in the eighties he'd be wearing parachute pants or something. It's just the whole style of our day, it has a hint of emo in the costume too. I like the show, so I watch the show. What really got me into Superman was this show. To be honest I've never read a Superman comic. So I guess on the whole "Superman Comic History" issue consider me schooled! Good job, CBF! I don't care. I'm not gonna go crying to momma! Lol. If you don't like it then don't watch it, or read news about it. Since you could care less. I do agree with you on one thing though. If Millar and Gough were still working on the show it would be different. Would it be a better show or worse? I don't know but either way I like the show. And so far I like the direction the show is going.

    ejk1
Zatanna almost went through with bringing her father back. But it was when Chloe got in the way she decided to stop for the sake of Chloe's life. But every theory has a hole or two. I do think the clone theory is a lot more plausible too. I totally forgot about Julian! And there's also the other Julian clones that failed. I can think of one in particular in the Gemini episode where an older Julian/Grant plants a bomb on Chloe. So the whole clone angle is possible. I didn't get tired of Kreuk I got tired of Lana. One of my favorite Lana episodes is Nicodemus in Season One when she goes all wild. I just got tired of the whole star crossed lovers bit between the two. It would be awesome to see Darkside and his world Apokolips! Ohh and I have yet another theory, this time about Clark and his glasses. We all know what distinguishes Superman from his alterego and it is his glasses! So I think he'll have some of those glasses with the big plastic nose and the thick fake mustache. I think it's a sure fire way for them not to connect the dots to who Superman really is! Lol.

CBF, I'm not trying to school you. Hell, I don't even read the Superman comic. I was just trying to give a different perspective on Smallville. Besides, you're missing the real problem with Smallville. Lois knows what Clark looks like with and without glasses, so how can he even turn into Superman and keep her in the dark? It's a ridiculous situation, but for the most part, the show is still entertaining.

Ok for one, 52 dimensions are the Crisis storylines in DC, which I take no part in reading or knowing about, even though I do regretfully know a lot about them. For two, Lex Luthor is dead but Clark is still in Smallville? Based in "our time" wearing a Matrix outfit? Justice League every other episode? Kandorians already? I mean come on, this is why I don't watch this reimagined crap. It's spitting in the face of Kal-El's REAL mythology. On which I know everything about. Come on guys, you are not going to school me on Superman's comic history. I don't call myself CBF for nothing. I understand this show is Millar & Gough's take but they left after Season 7. So it's no longer their vision.

Dex62387: Zatanna decided not to bring her father back to life, so I doubt she would even consider resurrecting Lex. Your clone theory holds much more weight. Consider the fact that he cloned his brother Julian(and subsequently had him killed). As far as Darkseid goes, I'm in total agreement that he will show up, possibly in the final episode of the season. Think back to last year when Tess was getting those instructions. I'm not sure if it was Darkseid(now that I think about it, it may have been Amanda Waller, played by Pam Grier), but it definitely wasn't Zod. Also, at the end of "Absolute Justice," Waller said she needed the heroes to get ready for the apocalypse. Now, did she mean apocalypse or Apokolips?

CBF: Smallville definitely doesn't follow along the continuity of the comics, but who's to say this is the Superman you've followed in the comic. Aren't there 52 dimensions in the multi-verse? Who's to say it isn't following the path of another version of Superman?

Everyone else: Kristin Kreuk is too sexy to get tired of.

Yeah that was a great episode! Lionel looked really weird with the short hair. But I totally forgot about Darkside! That would truly be awesome. I know they probably wouldn't make him look like he does in the comics and cartoons but more of a humanoid alien. It would be pretty epic if they had Darkside as a new bad guy. On a side note, Zod in the Fortress....Zod lived like twenty more years after his DNA was taken by Jor-El. So "Major" Zod is unaware of so many things that occured on Krypton including the creation of Doomsday and Brainic. But I'm kinda sure that they won't bring Doomsday back so soon. But I imagine that Zod is going to gain some kind of knowledge after visiting the Fortress. Of course that's just my opinion! And I loved how Zod just flew off in the last episode. That was totally nutz! I can't wait for April to get here.

i got to say one episode i absolutely loved was when Clark and Lionel change body's when Lionel was locked up that slow motion scene of Clark walking in the prison riot and hearing that song by jimmy eat world - it takes my pain away and how they jammed out the song during it, man i loved that sh*t, in my opinion haven't really seen a bad one yet, i have seen a few where they were missing a little ump but all and all i don't regret buying all the seasons what so ever, i really love how the story is coming along now the way it is, i think it would be cool is Zod found a way to release his older self from the phantom zone and because he is the same the older Zod takes over the younger clone body and doomsday get release is all the chaos. cause from what we saw in the up coming episode preview Zod is in the fortress. I think that would kick ass and if the show would have to end in my opinion it would suck but if it had to. The finale would have both the JLA and the justice league all teaming up to take on Zod and doomsday. but i don't see that happening i think Darkside is coming in seeing how they kinda hinted towards it.

My favorite Season is the Third one. I just love the whole story-arc with Morgan Edge and Lionel Luthor killing Lionel's folks back in the day. I love the psycho Lex who temporaryly knows Clark's secret. I also enjoyied Cal, Clark under the influence of Red-K. But my favorite part is the whole arc of putting Lionel away for killing his parents. And the aftermath of Lionel's revenge for put him away. I love that! Season Four sucked for me. I think it was the whole Lana witch thing. Season Five was pretty great too. Brainic was awesome! I hope he makes it into Season Ten. I would also love to see the return of Bizarro too.

  28. The Narrator: The Better Man

Season 5 was the best season for me, but it ended there. It got to dragged on. I mean its still entertaining whenever I flip on the tube. But nothing like it could have been if they stopped at 8.

"No flights, no tights." That was the original producers motto.

Lex was killed by Oliver Queen using a trap that Toyman meant to use to kill Oliver.

Lana resurfaced, after being freed from Brainic's Control, tracking down Lex so she could presumably kill him. She stumbles upon the Prometheus Project which was intended to be Lex's Battlesuit to combat Clark. The suits affect would also strengthen him after the Fortress collaspes on him and Clark at the end of Season Seven. Lana dawns the suit which gives her abilities similar to Clark's. The suit does have another attribute unbeknownst to Clark and Lana. The suit absorbs Kryptonite and stores it. There is a huge liquified kryptonite bomb and to disarm the bomb she absorbs the kryptonite thus neutralizing it. Now Clark can't come within like a few feet of Lana. And Lex once again triumphs and now Clark and Lana can never be togther. Removing the suit would cause death to the wearer. So exits Lana from the show. There we go that's what happened to both Lex and Lana.

Smallville is the reimagining of the Superman Mythology. Smallville is not about Superman. Smallville is about a man. A man that is on a journey to becoming the Man of Steel. The show is set in our time. And because of that the characters are influenced by our culture and that's why Clark is not in the red blue he's known for but the black and the trenchcoat. He's the dramatic hero dressed all in black. He fully hasn't embraced all the convictions and morals that the future Superman holds. He's still training with Jor-El. I'm not entirely sure but I imagine after he finishes the training and becomes who Jor-El wants him to be then and only then will he be the Superman we know. The one you're wanting.

I personally was getting tired of Lana. So I was kinda glad to see her leave. But I always enjoyed the tension that Lex brought to the show. And the constant struggle between him and Clark and his posse. I would love to see Michael Rosenbaum return to the show.

"Not that I care about this show, but too many "meteor-freak" episodes and you're burned out."

When exactly WAS the last meteor freak episode anyway? It used to be every week, but recently, they've focused more on aliens (like the Kandorians) and "regular" humans (like Oliver's old master or the Toyman or Metallo).
