God I loved this movie. I also enjoyed the motif of Bond in the water, which they featured three times: with him falling off the bridge just before the title scene, then during the title scene, then late in the film when he falls through the ice. I though this (especially the first time) was a clear homage to the Bourne Identity.

@narrator Totally agree with that assessment.

Up until 1:07, this was a great opening. Gorgeous even. Then it got repetitive and lazy (particularly the veins, the cheap dragons, and the even cheaper Bond-shaped targets). Still, the music absolutely killed it.

@thedude-abides, Goldeneye is also a favorite of mine.

Probably my favorite opening so far (though the ones from Casino Royale and Quantum were both fantastic).

Love the hand pulling down Bond at the beginning.

@narrator Skyfall and Goldeneye are tied. The Spy Who Loved Me is also a favorite of mine.

Agreed, @thedude-abides. The song was fantastic, but much of the imagery in this sequence was too dull and repetitive for my tastes. Not bad, per se, but nothing unique. Also, what's your favorite Bond theme? My personal one is Diamonds are Forever.

@bawnian-dexeus Yea I was kind of expecting it to be just as good as the Casino Royale version, but still overall good

@Bawnian&#169-Dexeus how have they got lazy? Possibly the best bond opening, giving insight to the movie. Gives a great start to the film, using Craig. Showing the USA how to do it in the film industry

The vid was just okay for me, but the song was amazing. Definitely a throwback to the old days.
