Ben Whishaw will play Q in Skyfall
Desmond Llewelyn and John Cleese have previously played Q, who heads up the armory division of MI6 dubbed Branch Q. The 31-year-old Ben Whishaw will be the first Q to be younger than James Bond himself, with Daniel Craig 12 years his senior.
Sam Mendes is directing Skyfall from a screenplay by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Peter Morgan.
Skyfall comes to theaters November 9th, 2012 and stars Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Craig, Helen McCrory, Javier Bardem, Tonia Sotiropoulou, Bérénice Marlohe, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris. The film is directed by Sam Mendes.

@jonspidey07 I consider Craig the best Bond yet, or atleast his interpretation of Bond is the best yet (If that makes sense)..
As for Q, it wouldn't have been my first choice but I can see it.

@ejk1 I know dude, tis sucks. I always saw James McAvoy as my Q. I know his a big name actor but well he has a big role meticulous backstory in my screenplay.
My role for Q is kinda too big for an unknown, but i'll guess were have to see how he performs... My guess is he was chosen because his worked with Craig twice, thus this would be his third time

Interesting, that means they are adding stuff in because Q was never in the original script i read, so my guess is that Q will be a very small role in this and not the Q we remember.
Also adding this in kinda makes a big bummer for my screenplay, unless i set it before SkyFall,but then that would make sense since its a conclusion to the Quantum Storyline

Batman is Bond for DC Universe.
It's good to know that Q is coming back I've missed the character and the devices.

I dont mind the Bond gadgets but i have always liked the more "realistic" films with minimal gadgets. The whole invisible car thing just doesnt work for me.....UNLESS Batman is behind the wheel.

Love that Q is in this film. Perhaps this will be a true Bond film after all.
