Bruce Willis confirmed to return as Hartigan in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
" "Bruce is back, so you'll be seeing him."
The director also spoke about Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character, who we first reported on earlier this month.
"We can't wait for him to come play with us. It's a new character. He plays a gambler, a very cocky gambler, who comes in and tries to beat the biggest villain in Sin City at his own game. The story is called 'The Long, Bad Night.' He beats the wrong guy in a game and bad stuff happens to him."
He also spoke about shooting this sequel in 3D, and how they are using the new 3D cameras from James Cameron and Vince Pace.
"We're really playing with stuff because that's a very two dimensional world and to see that stylization in 3D, it'll blow people's minds. 3D hasn't been used like this yet. We're using the latest James Cameron and Vince Pace cameras. They just got off the factory line. They look like Ferarri's. They're beautiful. They're small, compact, but they're still Alexa's. They're fast. They're not slowing us down at all."
One role that has still not been filled is The Dame. Robert Rodriguez revealed they still have a few choices they are eyeing for the role.
"We still have The Dame. We have some choices in mind, but we haven't finalized anything. She doesn't shoot for a couple more weeks."
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For comes to theaters October 4th, 2013 and stars Jamie Chung, Jessica Alba, Alexa Vega, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Michael Madsen, Dennis Haysbert. The film is directed by Frank Miller, Robert Rodriguez.

Good casting. Hopefully Jessica does another dance for us. That would be nice in 3D :)

@crypt Who have they replaced? I know that they replaced Michael Clark Duncan's character because, well, he passed away (RIP Michael Clark Duncan), but Josh Brolin is now Dwight because Dwight is supposed to have a different face in this story. Is there anyone else you are talking about?

The Cryptkeeper: Resurrected
They already replaced a few other actors, I'm already mad. If they replaced Willis too, I'd be full on pissed. So this is good news.

@cheetoboy Angelina Jolie as the Dame, hmm. Maybe she's one of the choices they have in mind, considering this is mentioned in the article > "We still have The Dame. We have some choices in mind, but we haven't finalized anything. She doesn't shoot for a couple more weeks." ?

@justatadmatt Exactly what @narrator said. In the first film, when Hartigan went to prison, Nancy was still a child. So for both Willis and Alba to be in the film together, they must 1) be in different points of time, or 2) Hartigan is in prison.

Cool.

the Narrator
@justatadmatt - This story takes place between the start of Hartigans tale, which is before he's is locked up, and his release. Thus, Hartigan would be in prison at this time, or they simply wouldn't have Alba in the role of Nancy, seeing as she wouldn't be that old yet. That's what I think @ejk1 was questioning.

@ejk1 this is a prequel to the first one. Marv is back as well...

I wonder if this year going to be Bruce year like John Goodman in last year, he was in many movies, a few indies, one anime, and two Oscar nominated ones as well.

Very curious to find out who they choose for the dame.

If Alba is in this, unless they are in two different points of time, shouldn't Hartigan still be in prison?
