William Monahan, who won an Oscar for The Departed, has inked a deal to help script the sci-fi adaptation Sin City 2. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are bringing are out the big guns to help write the sequel to their 2005 hit graphic novel adaptation.

Although no details have been released about what actors would return from the original, Mickey Rourke (Marv) and Jessica Alba (Nancy Callahan) have been rumored for a comeback.

As we reported a few months back, financing has been approved for the film and as soon as the script is finished it will begin shooting.

No details have been revealed about the story of Sin City 2. Stay tuned for more information.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For comes to theaters October 4th, 2013.
