We're not sure exactly how this is going to work but it sure smells good.

According to Home Media Magazine, "ScentAndrea, a Santa Barbara, Calif.-based marketing company, told The Los Angeles Times it is working on a DVD of The Simpsons Movie that will let viewers smell donuts as they watch certain scenes."

Apparently, ScentAndrea has manufactured "TV screens that produce scents to match specific images in advertising."

If fans The Simpsons want to have the "scented experience" they must "buy a special device to achieve the desired effect." Currently, the plan is for the company to "test market the smell-o-rama Simpsons DVD in New Zealand in November."

At the very least, this "smelly" version of this DVD could be a great collector's item.

The Simpsons Movie was released July 27th, 2007 and stars Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Harry Shearer, Hank Azaria, Marcia Wallace, Billie Joe Armstrong. The film is directed by David Silverman.
