Simon J. Smith to direct Untitled Madagascar Penguins Project
Alan J. Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, writers of DreamWorks hit MegaMind, have been brought onto knock out the screenplay for this spin-off.
The story will focus primarily on Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico, the four penguins who've garnered quite a following from Madagascar and its sequel. No voice cast has been secured for the four leads at this time.
Madagascar 3 will precede the Untitled Madagascar Penguins Project, arriving on May 18th of 2012. The penguins are likely to make an appearance in the film.
The Penguins of Madagascar comes to theaters March 27th, 2015. The film is directed by Simon J. Smith.

they work in alll around about good way but the series was bad enough to show that they have no place just on their own...they are back up and a side order for the Madagascar series

@bawnian-dexeus Yeah, would hate to seem them be overplayed. Their TV show is hilarious though.

Don't get me wrong, these little rice balls were funny in the first and managed to make me laugh in the second so, here's hoping it isn't milked enough to just be a visual eye candy and no laughs
