It isn't known why the date "5/2/12" was included on the title page. Perhaps that is when the actor finishes production on Star Trek 2, and will get back to work on the script.
The World's End comes to theaters August 23rd, 2013 and stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Rosamund Pike, Eddie Marsan, Julian Seager, Paul Kennington. The film is directed by Edgar Wright.

Because Brits, Aussie, Kiwis and the rest of the world write a date as : day/month/year.
They obviously finished this draft on the 5th of February.

@drifta86 Americans don't realize that Brits put the day before the month when writing out dates like that...
