Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright Contemplate The World's End Photo

For fans of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, The World's End, the final chapter in The Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy, has been a long time coming. Now, director Edgar Wright and writer/co-star Simon Pegg (where's Nick Frost, anyone?) are back at the drawing board as they begin to write the screenplay for this long-awaited comedy. Edgar Wright has posted a photo on his personal Twitter of himself and Mr. Pegg literally standing at the drawing board, mulling ideas over for god knows what, as no real script details have been released. Don't expect too hear too much about the plot. The gang is going all J.J. Abrams on this one. Does that mean we might get to see a cameo from ol' Ball Cheeks himself, the Cloverfield Monster? Only time will tell. Check out the image below.

The World's End comes to theaters August 23rd, 2013 and stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Rosamund Pike, Eddie Marsan, Julian Seager, Paul Kennington. The film is directed by Edgar Wright.
