Silent House Photo Featuring Elizabeth Olsen
Silent House, the real-time thriller from directors Chris Kentis and Laura Lau, based on the 2010 original Uruguayan Spanish-language horror outing The Silent House, may be your last chance to see America's newest sweetheart Elizabeth Olsen in a challenging and original film before she is swept up into a career of romantic comedies and relationship dramas. The story follows a father and daughter who visit a strange old farmhouse. We have a new photo from Silent House, which finds our heroine creeping around in the dark. Peep that white tank top below.

Silent House was released March 9th, 2012 and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Adam Trese, Eric Sheffer Stevens, Julia Taylor Ross, Adam Barnett, Haley Murphy. The film is directed by Chris Kentis, Laura Lau.

@thedude-abides -- The "money-grab" statement completely makes sense. I figured.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Some do. I guess they feel it gives them leeway. Joseph Gordon Levitt was once on record as saying that he often picked movies such as G.I. Joe purely as a money grab after doing acclaimed work such as 500 Days of Summer for that very reason.
I wouldn't say that's everybody, though. I think 99% of the time it boils down to actors not having a knack for picking quality material. Jeremy Renner is a prime example. He wasn't exactly a household name, but he built up a respectable career for himself before doing a string of highly-acclaimed films such as The Assassination of Jesse James, The Hurt Locker, and The Town (earning 2 Oscar noms in the process). Now that he's a success, he's had WAY more roles to choose from, and since then he's picked Mission Impossible 4, Bourne Legacy, Hansel and Gretel, and The Avengers. Not bad, but not exactly Oscar material.
In Olsen's case, however, she's still young, and judging by the timing of this photograph, was probably in the process of filming Silent House before Martha Marcy May Marlene came out. She still deserves some time before casting final judgement.

Or should I say critically-acclaimed...

@thedude-abides -- Do actors/actresses purposely star in movies that will most likely fail to succeed critically after starring in a movie that was praised?
