Sigourney Weaver to play bloodthirsty vampire
Sigourney Weaver has signed on to play a vampire queen in writer/director Amy Heckerling's romantic horror-comedy Vamps, according to Heat Vision.

Written by Heckerling, the modern-day story focuses on beautiful young vampires (Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter) who are living the good nightlife in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality.

Weaver will play Ciccerus, the bloodthirsty vampire who turned the two ladies into creatures of the night.

Production begins in late April.

yeah i say hey, it's a comedy, so regardless how bad it may be, at least it isn't meant to be taken seriously.

and hey, who knows, maybe it will be memorable.
