Shirley MacLaine and Olympia Dukakis are set to star in the indie black comedy, Poor Things; Maclaine is also producing.

Ash Baron Cohen, brother of Sasha Baron Cohen, has signed on to direct the film based on true events. The Hollywood Reporter says it revolves around two con-artist women who befriend and murder homeless men in order to collect their life insurance policies.

Poor Things will shoot in early May in Los Angeles or New Mexico.
