Shia LaBeouf may reunite with director Oliver Stone for Pinkville
LaBeouf has expressed interest in the project due to the fact that his father was a helicopter pilot during the war. Stone discussed Pinkville at great lengths with Shia while making Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.
Pinkville was slated to start shooting in December of 2007, but got shelved indefinitely after the Writers Guild of America strike halted production. We reported in January 2008 that the project would not be revived by United Artists. We hadn't heard anything regarding Pinkville until now.
The movie centers on the infamous My Lai Massacre in 1968, where hundreds of Vietnam villagers were slaughtered by American soldiers. There is speculation that LaBeouf might be interested in portraying Hugh Thompson, a helicopter pilot who put an end to the massacre by putting his chopper between the soldiers and villagers. Channing Tatum was originally set to play Thompson before the project was delayed.
The information on the commentary track was discovered by IGN.
Pinkville is in development .

he is a good actor but sometimes he over acts. If he can control his overacting, he can be one of the best!!

I'm glad Shia is getting better roles but he is terrible at being a lead character.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Glad to see Shia getting better roles. I would definitely not mind seeing this. However, if anything, I want an adaption of The Things They Carried. F*cking amazing novel if you ask me.

I loved Wallstreet : MNS and I love Stone's older works, it's safe to say he is one of my favorite directors. I just hope he can keep himself from making another WTC.

I like both of them so i would be down if it happened. Hell, it's better than Channing Tatum.

One more movie with the two of them would be good. I still think Stone is a great director.

I wouldn't mind a re-teaming. I just hope this doesn't become a long-running partnership. LaBeouf has too much potential going forward to align himself with a director who has proven time and again he's over the proverbial hill.
