According to The Hollywood Reporter, Shekhar Kapur has signed to direct the Bruce Willis starrer Solace for New Line Cinema. Solace tells the tale of a doctor with psychic abilities (Willis) who is enlisted by the police to help track down a serial killer who turns out to have psychic abilities as well.

Ted Griffin and Sean Bailey wrote the script. Kapur directed Elizabeth, which earned him a Golden Globe best director nomination and a David Lean Award for direction at the BAFAs. He also directed 2002's The Four Feathers.
