The only thing i don't like is why are people calling this the 'New Jaws'? I mean come on, Jaws is an American Summer Movie Classic---the Father of Summer blockbusters! and everyone is saying this is like Jaws, but better. No, no it's not like Jaws, and it is not going to be better than Jaws...maybe better than the Jaws sequels, but not the Original....

@jasonkat The thing about Piranha 3D was that it offered exactly what it was supposed to be at a whole new level of gore since it's beginnings. Exaggerated of course, and I doubt even their ancestors were that demonic, but I ain't a paleontologist so what so I know right? It's all about pumping nature with steroids.

@bawnian-dexeus Yea, it doesnt really look so bad, i mean, it could of been worse. I love movies like these,... "the breed" piranhas", comes to mind., Yea they arnt the best movies but they are fun and entertaining. As lonfg as they dont over do it with stupidity. like in most movies where "the girl is running and trips on nothing" or when they go into a dark eroom when they know sum1 is after them, lol movies like those where they make the teens or people brain dead, lol i hope this1 is not like that. i too will see this!.

agree with me damnit, jk jk. Im judging these movies not by the actor, story or direction, but by the way the shark it self, looks. yea that jumping scene looked cheesy, but in other shots, where he looks more realistic. it really does look real or scary. , anyhow, like u said.. we all have our opinions, i just liked this cgi better than wat i seen in the past, however it still doesnt change the facts that its not gonna b a hit movie. not for a sec. :)

@bawnian-dexeus ...By better version of jaws, i didnt mean story wise or actors, For me jaw (1) will always b and remain a tru classic. However wat i was getting at, was that this is a nice lil update to 1 of those shark movies. its like a popcorn flick. jaws was good but more of a drama than this1. hope that makes scene.

This movie is a "better" version of "jaws" . like @ghostman said, lets hope when it hits dvd/blu rays, that it comes in an unrated or director's cutt, version! for those of us who enjoy a better film, thats the way it give it to us since they cant do it in theaters. understandable. if those people wanna c that, they can just buy the theatrical version.. Either way, i think i'll go see this1 in 2d. :)

Normally i hate pg13 movies like these. but in this case i will say this, Thats the best "shark CGI" I EVER SEEN!
Jaws had its moments, deep blue sea did better, but now this1 looks more realistic.
Maybe the story or "direction" might suck, but that cgi saves it for me!.

i really want to see a movie of retired senior citizens instead of the typical college people.. some old meat for the sharkies! Of course you wont have that sex appeal anymore but who the fuk cares! I wanna see old people get eaten, slashed, bitten, etc. for a change!
