Vinyl: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Shane West and Lukas Haas are the first male cast members to join the rock 'n' roll drama Vinyl.

The indie film, written and to be directed by Richard Zelniker, starts shooting next month. The duo join Dominique Swain, Thora Birch, Jena Malone, Marla Sokoloff and Anna Faris in the project, which follows the story of a group of women behind a male rock band that is on the verge of breakout success.

West will play the bad-boy lead guitarist who is struggling to stay on track, while Haas is set to star as the drummer who falls for West's pregnant girlfriend
