Shailene Woodley joins George Clooney in The Descendants
The Descendants, based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings, follows an attorney (Clooney), "who is forced to get closer to his daughters after a family tragedy." Woodley is going to play the oldest daughter.
Payne is going to direct the film and produce along with Jim Burke. The script was adapted by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash.
The Descendants was released December 16th, 2011 and stars George Clooney, Shailene Woodley, Amara Miller, Nick Krause, Patti Hastie, Grace A. Cruz, Kim Gennaula, Karen Kuioka Hironaga. The film is directed by Alexander Payne.
