Seth MacFarlane is set to direct Ted
It was said that the film will be an R-rated comedy, with a budget of $65 million. MacFarlane wrote the script along with Family Guy's Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. The film was said to center on a man and his teddy bear and the film was said to be a blend of CGI and live-action. MacFarlane will also co-star in the film and provide the voice for the the lead CGI character, along with writing and directing.
The site also reports that this could possibly start production this year, despite MacFarlane's hectic schedule on Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show.

I'm for this, I'm sure even he realizes not all his jokes will translate well in live action but I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. Anyone see him get shot in Flash Forward? classic.
