Sega is developing a series of games based on the Alien movie series from 20th Century Fox.

The video game will be set in the Alien universe, and include a first-person shooter and a role-playing game. The Hollywood Reporter says Sigourney Weaver and Lance Henriksen are in talks to reprise their movie roles by providing their likenesses and voices for the games. The new games will not follow the strict story lines of any of the four films in the series but instead will provide a new experience by drawing from the history and lore that is the foundation of the films.

The first Alien video game is set to hit stores in 2008.

Alien was released May 25th, 1979 and stars Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm, Yaphet Kotto, Bolaji Badejo. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.
