Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing younger brother trying just to stay out of the way of those dragons, evil and trouble in general. Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world-Your Highness. As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent's fiancée before their kingdom is destroyed.

Thadeous (McBride) has spent his life watching his perfect older brother Fabious (Franco) embark upon valiant journeys and win the hearts of his people. Tired of being passed over for adventure, adoration and the throne, he's settled for a life of wizard's weed, hard booze and easy maidens. But when Fabious' bride-to-be, Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel), gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux), the king gives his deadbeat son an ultimatum: Man up and help rescue her or get cut off.

Half-assedly embarking upon his first quest, Thadeous joins Fabious to trek across the perilous outlands and free the princess. Joined by Isabel (Natalie Portman)-an elusive warrior with a dangerous agenda of her own-the brothers must vanquish horrific creatures and traitorous knights before they can reach Belladonna. If Thadeous can find his inner hero, he can help his brother prevent the destruction of his land. Stay a slacker, and not only does he die a coward, he gets front row seats to the dawn of an all-new Dark Ages.

Your Highness was released April 8th, 2011 and stars Danny McBride, James Franco, Rasmus Hardiker, Natalie Portman, Toby Jones, Justin Theroux, Zooey Deschanel, Charles Dance. The film is directed by David Gordon Green.

The Red Band Trailer was funnier. But this still looks great.

We'll prolly catch some heavy promoting for this picture around Oscar telecast. With Franco hosting and Portman sure to be nominated. I wouldn't be surprised to see the two of them do a sketch live.

Portman's standout roles (in my opinion) were V for Vendetta, The Professional, and Black Swan, which happen to be some of my favorite movies, as well. But yeah, she does do some crappy movies in between. However, I still think this'll be a fun guilty pleasure. Not every movie has to be Black Swan (not that I would mind, though :P).

Strangely... I agree with @Rufio, about Portman as of late. She has had some pretty different, and mediocre roles. Aside from Black Swan, her past few films have been nothing to jump up and down about to say the least. BS, from what I hear, is going to redefine Portman, but then hse has the lackluster Thor and this as follow ups. Weird, to say the least.

tired of raunchy jokes... when will someone make a good comedy again that doesn't rely on them to sell a product? i don't mind the occasional tongue-in-cheek joke, blatant raunchiness for the sake of gratuitousness alone (which is all movies like this are - Portman has even said so multiple times regarding why she's working to have more female raunchy comedies).
while i LOVE the idea for this movie and the cast in it, the entire thing screams "sellout", especially Portman who lately seems eager to shed her good girl label (in the name of "i'm now comfortable with my body and sexuality and therefore more willing to be raunchy").

@Xybernetic I know, man. It might actually make for a decent action movie, as well as the humor.
